Esilah fell to her knees.

The cave troll raised it's club high in the air, ready to strike her again.

Her legs, oh, god, her legs. She could feel her crushed, splintered bones and getting even worse. A ny'vene, a beautifal red and green one, roared in pure fury at the equally sized, blue skinned, incredibly strong creature known as a cave troll. She would back up, lashing her draconic tail. A Midsummer Evening themed lupora's ears were flattened, with her tail tucked between her legs. She was terrified, but she was going to fight, she would try. Another Sylesti, a Draeyl, was right beside Esilah, his normally fierce, unhappy amber eyes now tinged with utter sadness, horror, and pain. He didn't think this would happen. He thought they were invincible, together. Ruby, Amethyst, and him, Notsoe, with the help of his beloved owner.

Esilah was laughing through her tears. It was the.. he couldn't describe it. Notsoe couldn't describe just how much simple pain he felt radiating from Esilah. How could she even speak with her injuries? The ny'vene lunged forwards, sinking her giant teeth into the cave troll's arm, tugging and pulling at the flesh. It roared in agony as bare muscles became exposed. Ruby shook it's arm in her jaws, causing it to drop it's giant wooden weapon, and then drew her head back, flinging the disgusting tasting flesh to the other side of the path. Notsoe thought quickly. He'd rush to scoop up Esilah over his head and onto his back, careful not to hurt her any more than she already was. He began to run. Racing through the boggy area as fast as he could, dodging any obstacles in a swift, fluid motion, his memory raced with him as he remembered the path back to the Sanctuary of Saerielle. Kayani could help, if it wasn't too late.

Notsoe felt blood dripping down his vibrant blue scales. He could hear more roars and screeches, a howl, too, coming from where he had previously been. Ruby would be fine, he knew it. She fought incredibly well, she could do it.. right? The Draeyl shook that thought of dread out of his mind. His teammates would survive. Ruby was the strongest one on the team, after all. The dull, rotting area soon began to turn more mossy green, and more trees than vines and puddles of disgusting, muddy water appeared. He was getting closer. Hope sparked within him. He would make it, he could do it. He could feel Esilah's breathing shallow. The glowing, fungus covered trees that lead the path to the Sanctuary came into view within minutes of travel. Notsoe let out a loud shrill to alert his arrival.

He saw guards at the enterance spot him, and then ready their weapons at first, but then they realized who he was carrying. With one glance, they quickly opened the gate and let him dart inside. Kayani was already looking outside of the plaza, but then, she rushed over to him and Esilah. Slowly and cautiously, Notsoe set her onto the ground. Kayani kneeled down and looked over her body. Her legs were bleeding and horrifically wounded. Notsoe winced and looked down at Kayani. She quickly nodded and Notsoe helped her to Kayani's small little area of the plaza where she treated injuries and healed Sylesties. Jaxle Juniper saw them, and he quickly rushed over. "Where's Ruby and Amethyst??" He'd ask the Draeyl. Notsoe's gaze seemed to tell him in a way just where they were. Then, another sound, that of a ny'vene, pierced the air as the green ny'vene soared above the sanctuary. A lupora was somehow clinging to the spines on her back. Ruby swerved gently to the ground and landed, a puff of dust rising from the ground as she did so.

Amethyst, the Lupora, leapt off and raced to the plaza, watching Kayani closely. Ruby didn't want to break anything, and she stayed outside of the plaza, but she was watching. Esilah was laid out on a table of sorts.

"She'll be alright. It'll take a few days, her legs.. I'm not sure. She'll live, but I don't know if her legs will be alright." Kayani announced.

Relief washed over the three sylesties. They thought their beloved Sylestian was going to die on them. Notsoe set his body on the ground and rested his head on the soft, cool grass. He was going to stay by her side this entire time.

Esilah was safe, and that was all that mattered to him.
