Kind of really really new here so sorry for questions ^_^

I was browsing the forums and noticed custom pets and avatars? If thats what it is lol im not sure. I do digital art as a hobby ... im not amazing but its fun to do so I do it anyway. Can I use it on this site? Making items and such? I cant seem to find info on this so maybe its not a thing at all and I read it all wrong.
I just thought I would ask because that is something that seems a lot of fun to do ^_^

I haven't really paid much attention to that part of the site, so my info might be incorrect. But I'll do my best.
To my knowledge, there used to be contests or some such where users could create custom avatar items and then be able to use them in-game on their avatars after they're approved and created by Krinadon and/or Faiona, the owners of Sylestia. But I believe that's been discontinued for some reason, perhaps because of the MegaZone, a big project that's been in the works for at least a year for this game. So, sorry if this is taking you down, but that's what I've heard and seen.

Dragonnadder is pretty on the ball. But I'm gonna elaborate a bit. (cuz it's fun to learn!)

Once upon a magical time, every month avatar sets would be released. These would be available for purchase with diamonds. If memory serves, it was something like 1,000 diamonds for a full set (which would have the outfit, back, maybe wings, and held) Some sets cost more, some less. But basically like that.

Now, for a fee (I think it was 250 diamonds, maybe it was 300.. Something like that) you could personally get those monthly items customized. Users were able to color and put pretty things on helds / outfits / back items / whatever was current that month. Once the fee was paid and the design accepted, that "designer" could order their designed item for 100 diamonds.

This all stopped because it became too timely and not a good use of the resources. Festivals, Megazone, and revamps have been the priority. Even monthly items have evolved into sets with festivals or revamps. (Ny'vene Trainer set / Puffadore Trainer sets). Costumes have also gone way of the dodo, as Krin said they took a LOT of the artists' time and were not very popular.

Now, I believe (and could be wrong because I was not around at this time), users used to be able to pay for traits to be made for pets. I believe Ryori's Galaxy (or was it Nebula?) is such a case.

People can still purchase their own designed custom items for 100 diamonds. So if you find someone's design you like, you may be able to buy it from them or something.

oh I see. If help is needed with arts im more than happy to do work for free. I do it as a hobby and more than happy to help if its needed. I am not... great but I have been doing customs on other sites so I guess I can do well on some things ^_^
