Hi everyone! New user here, so please excuse the silly question. If this was answered elsewhere, I must have skimmed right over it. Sorry!
Is there any possibility of adding genes or mutations to a Starter Sylesti? I looked around a bit and saw that genetic mutators only work on captured Sylesti, however if there's one for starters I missed it entirely. I'd love to add Ghostly Mask to my Aurleon but was unable to when generating her so I have my fingers crossed I can get it on somehow without having to try and breed a different Sylesti, though if that's how it works then that's that.
Thanks to anyone who looks in on this!

No, there are only mutators to add traits to captured pets, but none for any other types of pets. This is to encourage users to breed what they want into pets, instead of just adding everything into one pet, which would be a little gamebreaking.
Also, Ghostly Mask is a restricted trait, so you won't be able to add it even if you have a mutator. Restricted traits (usually shown in red in the generator), are special traits that are only available for a particular period of time, through a particular method, after which, the only way to get them is through breeding with pets that already have them.
The Ghostly Mask came from the special themed pet Ghostly Aurleon. This pet could only be obtained during the fall festival. Other traits like valentine lace was only allowed to be generated during the Week of Love festival.
So if you do want ghostly mask on your pets in the future, you'll have to go to the advanced search, select aurleon, and ghostly mask, and see which are available for breeding, and breed your current pets to them.

Hello! Thank you so much for the clarification. I had a feeling just adding it wasn't going to work out, but I had to ask. I didn't really consider how gamebreaking it would be, that makes sense!
Thank you for also clarifying the restricted traits. I didn't fully realize those couldn't be added on at all. I'll have to look into breeding out the pet I'm after then.
Thank you very much!

You're welcome. ^^
This game has a lot of different things added like exclusive themed pets and restricted traits, to make certain things more valuable and interesting, especially for veteran players. So sometimes it's a lot to get used to when you first join.
Hope you enjoy playing Sylestia! =)
