Okay, so this is a roleplay... I haven't ever really started a new thread, so please don't judge me.
I'm going to start out as Professor Sycamore.


Prologue---
"Welcome to the Kalos Region!" the long haired professor said, leaning over a small newly hatched Eevee. His faithful Garchomp stood beside him. Garchomp had a brown collar with a Mega-Stone on around it's neck. Eevee blinked up at him with its large amber eyes.
"Vee?" it asked.
Garchomp bent over to the little Evolution pokemon.
"Gabba!" the Mach pokemon said. It picked up the newborn Eevee, and the three walked out of the forest and back to the Professor's Lab.

Three Years Later:

BEEP BEEP BEEP!
The smoke detector went off as a Bulbasaur ran around the room with its bulb on fire. The Professor ran over to the Plant pokemon and doused its bulb with a pitcher of water.
"CHARMANDER!!! Did you set Bulbasaur's bulb on fire again?!" he yelled down the hall.
Charmander came waddling out of the shadowy corridor.
"Char!" it said happily, giving Professor Sycamore an evil grin.
"No! Bad Charmander! Bulbasaur is combustible you know! You're getting a time out!" he picked up the small Lizard pokemon and put him on a brown stool. He turned around to pick up a small cone shaped hat that said 'Maturity Cap', but before he could put the hat on the orange pokemon, it used Ember on his lab coat and ran off
He ran around in circles trying to put it out, as Squirtle sat on the marble counter drinking a cup of coffee.
"Squirtle Squirtle!" it laughed, watching the Professor's efforts. Professor Sycamore turned and glared at him.
"A little help here?" he asked.
"Squirtle?" it shrugged, looking around for a fire extinguisher.
"You're a Water-type!" he said, exasperated.
"Squiiiirtlle." it said, realization dawning on its face. It opened it's mouth and used Water Gun on the Professor's lab coat.
"Well, another lab coat ruined. I wish someone would just take Charmander off my hands. Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie always behave like angels. Kanto must have a lot of headstrong pokemon." the Professor sighed.
Suddenly the door opened...

Name: Ashley Vulpes
Age: 14
Gender: girl
Appearance: Blond hair, a bit tall for her age, icy blue eyes. Wears a light blue 't with a white zip up sweat shirt
Personality: Smart and friendly, easy to talk too.
Pokemon: none at the moment!

"Hello Ashley! My name is Professor Sycamore. Are you ready to choose your first partner pokemon? You can choose from Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Fennekin, Froakie, or Chespin. You'll also get five pokeballs and a Kalos pokedex. Are you ready to choose?" he asked.

"You bet! Pleasure to meet you in person," She said. Ashley thought about her options. Squirtle seemed loyal, but a bit of a lightweight in the intelligence department. Charmander kept looking at her with malice. Bulbasuar seemed jumpy. But the Kalos starters... No, they wouldn't be much of a challenge to train. She looked back at the three Kanto starters. She kept quiet for a bit. Soon, her mind was made. She breathed deeply and looked at the professor. "Ok, I'm ready,"

"Which pokemon do you choose?" the Professor asked.

"Charmander," she said confidently.

Professor Sycamore handed her Charmander's pokeball, a Kalos pokedex, and five empty pokeballs.
"Here," he said, "you'll need these. Now have fun with it. I must warn you, mon amie, that Charmander is a bit... Wild. But by all means, have fun anyway!"

"Point noted. Thank you sir," she said with a nod.

Professor Sycamore walked her out, then waved to her farewell.

Suddenly, a young girl with silvery-blue coloured hair, ran out of the lab.
"Alexandra Maylena Sycamore! What do you think you're doing?!" the Professor asked angrily.
Alex turned around and looked at him innocently.
"I'm going on my first pokemon adventure!" she said confidently.
"Y-you don't even have a pokemon!" the Professor said angrily.
"Yeah I do. I'm taking Espurr along with me!" she said happily.
"You're taking the cat?!"
"Um... yeah."
"Do you have a pokedex, cold water, a raincoat, your clothes, clean underwear, a toothbrush, snacks, pokeballs, a hairbrush, a tent, sleeping bag, potions?!" Professor Sycamore said, counting off his fingers in a crazed sort of way.
"Duh. C'mon dad! I'm ready! You've got to let the Fletchling leave the nest SOMEDAY." she said in a bored tone. Professor Sycamore sighed.
"Fine, but Ashley will have to look after you." he said.
"DAD! I don't need a babysitter!" Alex said heatedly.
"Ashley, do you think you can watch over Alex for me?" he asked.

"Umm, Sure! Why not? It would be nice to have a partner who knows a thing or two about pokemon," she turned to Alex. "Don't think of me as a babysitter, think of me as a friend who wants to explore just as much as you do," Ashley said in a cheerful tone.
