Pet Costumes have more of less been abandoned. So they'll just sit there for those who want them.

We couldn't generate hardly any interest in them at all, unfortunately.

Aww, that's a shame! I wonder if maybe you made new ones or had a contest where people designed a costume, if they might be more popular?

Maybe if you made some new ones that have more mutation like looks, people might want because they can give the pet a cool "mutation"? Like special wings or something else that might look cool on a pet. Retiring the old ones might increase the value of pets with them too, unless they are so undervalued that people don't care.

They may return at some point down the road.

But we spent a lot more on designing and having artists create those costumes than, even to this day, they've earned for the Site.

Additionally, our artists are really strapped for time now a days between Festivals, Revamps, and the MegaZone. So we'd rather them focus their attention on those projects for now.

Just how things go sometimes.
