Where's the board where you can do missions or quests or whatever? It wasn't taken down was it?

I assume you mean the Quest board? It will always be in the village centre and from there you can accept quests unless there are none available.

I knowthis is for the quiz board but how do i start a nee post like conversation like how people are advertising pets and stuff?

You go to the relevant forum, and create a new thread.

So for example, you want to sell your pets, you go to the Pet Auctions forum. At the bottom right, click New Thread. Input your subject, and message. You can click Preview Post to see what the text will be like, and once you're done, click Create Thread.

Once you created the thread, you can still edit your post, but you can't edit the title subject.
