This is meant to be a relaxed social thread where we RP as our avatars and/or pets. No application form needed, just come as you are. Characters can enter/leave/return to the RP as you wish, and if you happen to gain new gear or pets it can be reflected here. This will start off in and be based around Esior's Haven, although characters are obviously free to move around the world as they wish.
Guidelines:
1) IC conflicts are fine, but any issues between characters should stay in-character. Godmodding or metagaming (that is, giving your character ridicuous powers or knowledge of things they shouldn't know about) and powerplaying (controlling another person's character) is not allowed, as it ruins the game for everyone else.
2) Try not to write content that would go above a PG-13 rating.
3) In your first post, please state somewhere where it is that your character is located (ex Esior's Haven, the Windmill, etc). If they change locations at any point, please include a note on that as well.
4) We're assuming in this game that Sylestis are on the same intellectual level as, say, Pokemon. They can think and reason, but are still governed by their instincts. It's up to the individual player if their Sylesti can speak to humans in general, or just to their keeper, or not at all.

First IC post coming below, then others are free to join in.

Location: Esior's Haven, Sylesti Plaza
Even with the midday sun high overhead, its light did little to dispel the winter chill in the air. A light snow had fallen overnight, leaving the world covered in brilliant white. The dark-haired and admittedly somewhat scruffy-looking young woman sitting by the fountain wasn't bothered much by the cold herself, but she was a bit worried for the egg she held, wrapped securely in a thick woolen blanket. When she had found it out in the fields while bandit-hunting with her Qitari Saxon, she didn't hold much hope for the creature inside--the egg was cold and its parents were nowhere to be seen. But she had taken it back to town with her anyway and shown it to William the hunter, who had confirmed that it was, indeed, still alive. Now determined to see it hatch healthy and strong, she had elected to keep it, holding it close while she waited for her Qitari to return from the escort mission he had volunteered for.
She looked down at the grass-green egg, convinced that it had moved only a minute or so ago. Was that a hairline fracture down the shell, meandering between the blue speckles covering its base, or was she just seeing things? "I wonder what you're gonna be, little guy?" she mused aloud, rubbing a bit of dirt off the shell. Saxon was still young, but he was old enough to fend for himself. Taking care of a baby Sylesti would be a different matter entirely.
