Hello, I've tried catching Sylvorpas a few times by now, yet none of them come into my stables? Am I doing something wrong? I have -a lot- of space left so that's no issue? Three Sylvorpas have been sucked into the void so far.

hey there!
are you sure that you actually have managed to catch them and they didn't run away?
sometimes your trap might fail and the pet would run away...

yes, it should be said in the chat when you try to use your trap.

If your trap is successful, you'll be able to see that in the battle log as well, and there will be a link to the pet you've caught.
