I've noticed this during some festivals every now and then. It seems that sometimes there is an avatar item that just doesn't drop / isn't obtainable? In the past I never brought attention to it, but I'm thinking that maybe they just never got coded in to drop?

These are the ones that seem non-existent this festival:
- Bone Reaper's Banners: (Candy Corn) (Crimson) (Frigid) (Noxious)
- Bone Reaper's Wands: (Candy Corn) (Crimson) (Frigid) (Noxious)

Both are Blue rare items, yet only Purple epic bone scythes seem to drop from the Bone Reaper...

Also, not sure about this one, but haven't seen any around - Ghostly Pirate Parrot: (Jack) (Jasmine) (Lily) (Polly)

----
// This is more suggestion/complain-y, but just dropping it here since avatar item drop related.

I've actually kind of been wondering about the drop rates in general. Some items seem to drop so frequently, yet others seem impossible to get.

Namely the Misfortune Kitty items from trick-or-treating this festival. The drop rate feels extremely low. It'd be nice if everything were balanced out a bit. Make the super easy to get items a little harder to get. And these ridiculously hard items to get more easy to get.

Idk, I've opened around 20 handfuls of candy and didn't get any avatar item. That isn't to say I didn't get anything good, as I did several times. But this is the only way to get those avatar items, so would be nice to actually be able to get one. Especially when there are so many of this type of avatar item! (head x5, held x12, back x5)

Just adding in my two cents.

I've opened 87 handfuls of candy, only one kitty item...I knw RNG plays a factor but with so may to get, its kinda frustrating opening so many with only a single item to show for it. I've gotten so many Individual brew agents at this point idk what im going to do with them all >.<

I also more often then not end up getting the same avi drops from the zone bosses, if anyting at all.

Looks like there was an issue with the Bone Reaper's drops, unfortunately.

I have adjusted its drops and put more emphasis on the items that were not dropping since they have been unavailable thus far.

As for the rest of the named, I do not see any issues with their drop rates.

Drop rates in general are always a fickle thing. I find calculating a drop one of the hardest things to balance because if you use anything that isn't incredibly complicated, you essentially are running a series of if-else's until one hits, which inherently sways the drops towards whatever is checked first in the list. If everything has the same rarity, it's easy. But most often, that's never the case.

I did try something new this time around with the zone named and their drops, but I'm not sure if I really like how the system worked out. I will have to review everything at the end of the Festival and see where things stand.

But drop rates are always, always changing lol. We are constantly trying to think of new and better ways to distribute lots of various items of different rarities.

@Krinadon,
Thank you for the reply~ Glad it wasn't just my imagination. xD I'm actually finding the zone boss drop rate quite nice this festival. I very much enjoy that the items are also available via chocolate coins. That was a great idea! c:

** It's actually the items available via the Handfuls of Candy that are the problem in terms of 'drop rate', as re-iterated by Lostwords13 above. In contrast the items available from helping other people's brews are quite common. **

I'll take a closer look at the handful drops.
