How in the whole wide word do we get chocolate coins! they cost alot on the trade broker, so i can't buy them there!

There are orange pumpkins scattered throughout the map. If you walk up to them and interact, they will give you between 2 and 4 tokens. Another way is nurturing pets, but this is rather a slow method.
