Can anyone help me?
I use these three pets, all Shadow will all prof and stats in health and I just can't beat them.

They all have nearly all legendary, I don't know what should I do. I don't attack Katalyst when he has shield, start attack him when he's shield is on 1 turn, I'm blocking with the pet that have purple skill from Kimeira. I managed to kill Katalyst (once, every other I died faster) but then I had only one pet alive and Kimeira gained health faster than I could manage to attack her. Every time I try I lose.

Hello Galaxis, I'll be happy to help you. Your technique is awesome and everything is done correctly during battle, the problem starts before that. It's your pets. There are currently 3 major problems that will lead to defeat each and every time.

1: Wrong build with Glimmering SeaMonkey - Currently, you are trying to mix Physical Damage with a Magical Proficiency. This combination will never work even though it seems fine because you're increasing just Health. Don't feel bad, Luga used to make this same mistake and they're the best Arena master in the world! :)
2: Wrong Equipment - Currently you have a "Rare" relic on Podwodny Skarb. This is a large mistake for the arena because Relics are where all the damage comes from when you increase just Health (what's the point of floating like a butterfly and stinging like a bee when you can't sting like a bee?). Good damage relics are a need-be for the arena. I'm sorry if I come across as harsh, I'm just trying to help you physically see the problem. I understand that you may be a newer player and can't afford Legendary equipment, that's why I'll send you all the Legendary Lv25 equipment you need for free. No need collecting dust in my tabs if they're not being used, right? ;)
3: Bad Base Stats - Last but most, most importantly, your base stats are completely wrong for the arena. I noticed this before the Rare equipment and magically build even. I see that you do both Battles and Missions with these pets so you must really like them, but they are just not right for the arena. Generally, Arena, Battle and Mission pets are 3 completely different pets altogether. A good starting Arena pack is at least 40 in everything and 400-500 HP, while your pets are currently at the lowest in the 10s and 100 some HP. Any Ny'vene should meet these requirements, I recommend Advance Searching any Ny'vene for sale and you should be able to find the starter Arena pack I told you about for around 1-3k (depending how well you want them of course).

This is my full critque on your team. After you follow what I told you, Kimeira and Katalyst will be a breeze! And don't even ask about Oogbar, he's so easy!! (Just avoid his bearhug with Q) I greatly admire you getting this far with your team and would love to be your friend! Just PM would you need and I'll be happy to supply! :)

It seems that I need to buy some Ny'venes to be successful in Arena. I think I'll pass for some time, I'm not a big fan of Ny'vene, so I have to buy some more space in my stable before I buy species that I don't like, and it can take some time :D
I'm really greateful for things you sent, they will definitely help me when the time comes. Don't you mind keeping them despite the fact that I won't use them for the next few weeks? If you prefer to keep them to this time, I can return all trades :)

I've read through the advice, and have tried the various tips suggested but Kimeira's taunt ability is giving me trouble. I want to focus my attacks on Katalyst when he isn't using his flame shield but there is always one pet on my team that can only attack Kimeira. Does anyone have any advice on how to combat that?

Unfortunately, you have to go without that one pet damaging Katalyst while she's using taunt. (At least, that's what I think; I don't think you can really block it or avoid it)

If you have 3 party slots (assuming you do), then 2 pets on Katalyst should be enough. Maybe even using Finishing Blows (with as much mana as possible) before Kimeira can pull a taunt.

I think you should restat your pets, and changed some of their equipment. I'll recommend you to read this guide: https://www.sylestia.com/forums/?thread=11101

The main thing to note is that you have to choose between strength and intelligence for your pets. If you add points to one, don't add any points to the other. This is because your pet can only deal one type of damage, so any points added to the other will be wasted. So when you choose a proficiency tree, you should pick one that matches the stat profile you've chosen.

In the same way, when choosing equipment, use those that add more to strength/intelligence, whichever you chose, instead of those that split points equally between both/all, or add more to the stat that you're not using. For relics, find those that give more physical damage bonus if you chose strength, and those that give more magical damage bonus if you chose intelligence, instead of using those that split damage bonus to both types.

If you do these, your pets should be more efficient in battles.


Personally I'll recommend using a dark tree (so intelligence-based) pets, since they can recover health, which makes arena battles easier. I also like to use light and air trees.


Also, take note of the strategy needed for this battle. Don't attack Katalyst when he has shield, start attack him when he's shield is on 1 turn. Block the pet that have purple skill from Kimeira.
