You go to the menu labeled 'Trade'. The third item on that menu is labeled 'Currency Exchange'. When you go there, you can search for diamonds being sold for gold, then buy them with your gold. The average is usually around 2,500 gold per diamond, though I think it's been hovering around 2,300 gold per diamond during the festival.

Is this stuff all only for diamonds?

Yes, because it costs me diamonds to order each copy of my customs from Krin, so it doesn't really make sense for me to take anything other than diamonds when I would have to convert whatever else it was into diamonds to make the order. You can, of course, always purchase diamonds on the currency exchange using gold if you can't purchase diamonds directly ^.^

When I have extra diamonds sitting around, I do sometimes allow for purchases in gold, but if I do, it's usually at a higher exchange rate than on the currency exchange, just to ensure that I can easily replenish the diamonds spent on the custom. (So, in the end, it costs you less to just purchase from the exchange yourself.)

Also, to make sure that the person you're replying to see what you said to them, hit the @ at the bottom of their post. I only noticed your post because I happened to come looking for a different thread in the Custom Items forum, or it might have been days, or even weeks, before you got a reply ^.^;;
