It was always so cold here, cold and gloomy. Rain always fell though it never feels with water, how come? Who cared, that was just how things where down here. The buildings were falling apart, the stone crumbling down around every corner you looked hitting you on the head as you passed. The pitiful animals you owned laided down at every given moment to die, thus you had to keep pulling them back to their feet to keep them moving. Disease swept through the streets like the rats that infested them, though no one here ever died. They just walked around sick and depressed. That's what Molly was doing now, walking like the rest of the lost souls that were down here. She had only just arrive, though already she didn't recall how this all came to be. Taking a long drawn out sigh she made her way to the swamp that was considered the relaxation point. What was this place? She had no idea. There was a man standing near the swamp, maybe he knew what was going on. Slowly, for that seemed to be the only speed here, she made her way to him.
"Excuse me sir." She asked standing next to him. He simply looked at her with a sigh. His armor was a bluish color, which was nice considering everything was a black or grey. "Do you have any clue where this place is?" She asked. No answer. The silent type...great maybe she would just stand there with him.... So she did. The lake or swamp was bubbling with its nasty bog water, the foul smell filling her nostrils. This place was so nasty, and dark. She wanted to find a way out of this place even though she had just gotten here. Was there a way? If there was a will there was.

Vaga slid through the trees with an unnatural sort of grace, the dull pain surging through her eyes seemed to grow dimmer and dimmer with every passing day, she supposed. Of course, no one knew of the days, or of the seasons or years. No sun or stars to keep track. Clouds hung heavy in the sky and the whole world seemed to smell like grey slate. With a great leap, she settled herself upon a perch. "At the Price of Oblivion. The princes and kings bow their heads to the Lord of Grief. Maidens dance the dance of thorns on the edges of knives as the great Heir of Grief rises up, ready to ascend to their pla...-" she trailed off, forgetting the rest of the passage. "I'm forgetting too much." she hisses to herself, reflexively running her paw(hand?) over the frayed rope around her neck. She shook her head, dismissing the thought. She flapped her massive wings, once, twice, three times before she hauled herself into the stale air, gliding over the dead trees. The rush of slate-smelling air was almost enough to make her gag, and she descended down to a dead tree near a bog, smelling of sweet mud and earth.

(Vaga doesn't smell normal things, she smells what the thing looks like, if that makes any sense)

(I think it's really cool that she can do that. :) )

The air shook with the power of the wings as they beat. Was that a-a dragon?! Molly's heat skipped a beat before beating faster. No blade hung at her side to weld, making her all the more fearful. A dragon alone was a feat to kill, but one with no weapon, it was madness. Yet the man at her side made no move to harm the thing as it landed in the tree infront of them.
"Show her no fear." He said suddenly his voice raspy and as deep as the thunder that cracked through the sky. "She too is like us in this world." His helm only made his voice rattle more, like he was stuck in...well a tin can. Molly let her jaw drop as she looked at him, then back to the beast. "Greet her as a friend and not a foe." As told Molly found the strength to speak to the beast.
"Good morrow my beastly friend. What brings you here?" The female warrior asked. She herself didn't know why she was here, only that it felt right at the moment.

Vaga's ear twitched as she heard a voice. She sniffed deeply, sensing a presence of shiny-smelling slate. She tilted her head to one side, not looking directly at the person who had called to her. "Oh, is there someone here? Didn't mean to startle you!" she let out a hoarse laugh. "Only stopping by for a change of scenery, you know how it is." she rasped, sort of leaping of the tree and half-gliding down to where the person stood. She quietly sniffed, her snout probably a foot away. "Why are you here?" she asked.

The girl backed up a bit, overwhelmed by the dragon's enormous size compared to her own. "I-I don't know..." She stammered running a nervous hand through her messy hair. " I simply came to speak with him I guess." Molly stared at the rope around the dragoness' neck, unable to peel her eyes away. Then it dawned on her, she could recall something of what seemed like before. The pain, the cries of a child, darkness before a gentle warmth. Her name was cried out time after time before she slowly slipped away into this world. But what had happened? She recalled a child and her-her love though his name she could not remember. What had they been doing? All these thoughts made her dizzy, thus she leaned on a nearby tree. "What is this place?" She asked at last, her mind racing still.

(sorry Trilli)

Vaga sniffed the girl, a bit more subtle this time. "Oh, you're new?" she mused to herself. "You smell a bit dizzy, would you like to rest for a while?" she asked, trying to shimmy around and away from the girl's question.

"New? New to where? Here? Yes, yes I'm but I don't even know where this is." Molly said again running a hand through her hair before nervously pulling it back into a messy rat of a bun. "I'm fine, just have a lot of question is all. I feel like I left someone behind before I came here..but I can't put a finger on who." She thought for a moment putting a hand under her chin as she did. Neither of their faces came into view as she tried to picture them, how come? "How did I even get here..."

"We all would like to know as much." The man next to her said with a shallow sigh. Molly looked at him then back at the swamp. A pit in her stomach started to form as she thought of what he could mean by this. There right across her middle was a gasp in her armor, dry blood around the edges. Did that have something to do with why she was here?

Vaga stiffened when another entity spoke. She hadn't picked up this other slate-smelling person when she arrived. She tilted her head, sniffing the unknown person. Nothing out of the ordinary, she thought, as she picked up another scent. "Is someone bleeding?" she asked to no one in particular as the dark cherry sent wafted past her nostrils.

"I-I don't recall that being there." Molly said touching the gash in her armor. She wasn't bleeding though which was good. "How did that get there?" She asked looking at the others. The dragon had a noose around her neck, she must have been hung. And the man? He had dried blood on the rim of his helm, and the the collar of his armor. Molly couldn't tell what had happened to him though it wasn't good either way. "Are-are we dead?"

"Yes, at least I think we are. In fact I know I am." The man said looking up now his helmed head glancing into the distance. "But I don't plan and it staying that way." Molly let her jaw drop. What? Could they get free of this? How though.
