its a code that you get sent if somebuddy refers you for the site witch means they ask you to join the site

If you go to the "Account" menu, and click on "Referrals," you can generate a link to send your friend. It's different for each user.

Edit: I am very tired and just now realized I could give you a link to make it easy for ya XD
