As you turn the bend in the road, you see a Sylesti pulled cart in the distance. As it draws near, it becomes clear the back is covered in a tattered tarp and the wood looks almost as worn as the hunched over figure sitting atop it. You can't help but wonder if continuing in this direction was a wise idea. It squeakily rolls to a stop in the grass as you begin to pass it by. You look down to avoid eye contact with the figure, but to your surprise, they are already rummaging through the back of the cart. You start to walk at a quicker pace - hoping to avoid buying any wares or unwanted confrontations - but to your surprise, the Sylesti who was pulling the cart brushes against your hand.



You look down to notice how well this friendly Sylesti is taken care of. Stopping only for a moment, you bend down to pet her. The Sylesti is eager to play and she gets down on her front legs and wags her tail, but as you smile in response, she takes off to her master behind the cart. You pause and think about the situation rationally; however, curiosity gets the best of you and you follow the Sylesti behind the cart.




A gentle smile from a worn old woman greets you. "I was hoping you'd come dear." She pulls out a wooden box from the far reaches of her wares. "I see you've taken a liking to my Amira," she says looking over at her Sylesti. "You have good taste," she chuckles as she opens the box to reveal a set of handmade flutes.

Before you there are 8 flutes:

- Two flutes adorned with luminous stones.
- Two hand carved wooden flutes
- Two gold plated flutes
- One silver plated flute
- And one rusty flute

"Each one costs 1000 gold, my dear. Do choose wisely as you may only purchase one."

I'll take a luminous flute please. :)

In this particular instance the theme was looks can be deceiving. Despite the woman being of humble means, she had and maintained a beautiful Sylesti. The regen Ny'vene despite looking traitless has a lot of potential and therefore was portrayed as a rusty flute. However I might consider that a theme for an upcoming story if this takes off as long as you don't mind me borrowing your idea. :)
