My back ground appears black when a mini screen appears, this isn't a prob until my personal messages got weird. The words saying what the message is about go off the screen.

@Kinuna,
Is it all pop up boxes or just a certain page?
And which operating system and browser are you using? Sounds like you're using an out of date browser though that doesn't accept transparency.

It just started doing this But i'm using internet explorer 10 on windows 8. And it does this with my personal messages page. and the mini screens happen with the personal messages, pet pages, and inventory.
edit: nvm it happens with just about any minipage, I'm not sure why this is suddenly happening. it worked fine somewhere around few days ago.

@Kinuna,
Internet Explorer is a terrible browser. I highly suggest using Chrome or Firefox.
However, I go through and make sure our Site functions on all 3 browsers and my IE is working fine.
Did your IE just recently update?
Basically, IE doesn't allow CSS3... which is any styling that makes web pages look good. In order to achieve this, you have to 'hack' it or use IE specific counterparts (it's very annoying).
CSS3 effects include transparency, gradients, shadows, rounded edges, etc.
However, I use all of the hacks or IE equivalents whenever I use those effects on our Site so that shouldn't be happening unless your version of IE is messed up or the newest version somehow broke it.
For the alignment stuff, that's also an IE issue. IE interprets things differently from the other major browsers because Microsoft likes to be special.
So basically, I would suggest using Chrome or Firefox instead of IE. Other than that, I don't really know what to do b/c I already style with IE's specific styles so it should be working properly.

I'm afraid I'm only computer literate to the basics, I do think I had some sort of update awhile ago, but i will use chrome for now on, to avoid such things. I'm just happy I can continue to play with out squinting at things bc they mix with the back ground.

I imagine you'll become accustomed to Chrome in no time. I used to use IE way back and can't believe I used it for so long. Since I started coding, I have nothing but hate for IE because it runs so poorly compared to the other browsers and Microsoft just doesn't care. It comes standard on every windows PC and that's enough users for them to not care about improving it.
Anyway, glad you're able to use Chrome.
