I have all this stuff lying around, but i have no idea how to put it on my character pic. Can you tell me how?

(I'm such a noob.)

When you get an item and click "use" from your inventory, it gets added to your wardrobe.

The wardrobe shows all items available in the game, those that you own have a white background, while those that you do not own have a grey background.

To wear an item, click on the item and click "save loaded outfit". If you just want to test what colours work (for colorable items or avatar features), click "preview changes" to see the changes without changing your avatar. Then if you like it, click save, and if you don't, click "reset changes".

[nothing happens]

Watch the language, please. Did you hit preview change or save loaded outfit? Or did you accidentally hit reset changes instead of saving them?

I watched a youtube video, and it seems I just have a buggy computer. So nvm.
