Life is like... a rubber band. If you have enough will and power, if someone pulls you too hard, you can count on perservearance to snap you back.
Yes, someone has broken my trust. I'm not afraid to share this story, although I am nervous about finally getting it off my chest. I really hope this doesn't get around, I hate unwanted attention and rumors. I have an aunt we'll call.. Strawberry for now. Strawberry had three adorable dogs, a friendly daughter and husband, and awesome taste in shows. She was always up to babysit my sister and I and made sure we always had something to do while we were over there. Then, the night my father signed himself out of the hospital and went home, had a heart attack and was found on the floor by Strawberry, you know what she did? She grabbed his damn wallet and pocketed it, took a portable bank that he promised us one day would be full enough to go on vacation, took 3 full to the top containers of my mothers long-collected Christmas ornaments, took my fathers phone, and even took the television. We sued her after but unfortunately her lies, which I had concrete proof that proved she was lying but of course I was too young at the time to go to court, got the judge convinced enough to conclude her not guilty. The only thing I hope she has now is the worst guilt of her life for what she did to a family just for a couple extra bucks. The bright side? She feels guilty, and we were actually able to save 2 tubbs of Christmas ornaments but we don't have as much as before. How do we know she feels guilty? 3 years after the whole scenario went down she told my mother, and I quote, "If you ever get busy and need a babysitter for the girls, they're welcome to come to my house." Which my mother responded too with, "Not in a million years after what you did to this family, and especially how disappointed you made my husband and your father."

Sorry for going on a rant.
Many people broke my trust... such as my father lying to me about seeing me for my 12th birthday with a present when he called me(haven't seen him since I was a baby) ... but he never showed it... it was probably the worse birthday of my life.. :'( I cried really hard...
And many friends I meet online and real life(mostly online thou..) backstabbed me... or other people such as authors.. they just backstab me..

I think trust is honestly something that can be looked at in a positive light, even if it's been broken over, and over.
I will spare you all the details of my life, but yes, I've been heartbroken, lied to, used, etc. and not just in a relationship type context.
I know that in every encounter I've had where I've been lied to or hurt, it's only helped mold me into the person I am today, and damn I love her.
I'm only 16, but I am beyond proud of who I've become, and want to encourage you to keep going, even if it sometimes seems like no one is honest or good on this planet. There is good here, and it can be you if you let it.
