Heya, everyone! Welcome to the Writing Contest!

The goal is simple: write a story about the beautiful phoenix below. It can be as short or long as you like and about anything you want (so long as she's in it, of course). The person who writes the best story gets to take her home! To enter, just post your story below and either ping me or shoot me a PM so I know there was an entry. The contest closes August 31 at midnight (Sylestian time). I'll still take entries if they're a little late

A Phoenix's Spirit

Long ago, in a land called Sianal there was a beautiful phoenix named Flama and a young woman named Kita. Flama and Kita had been together since birth. They played together, ate together and slept together. One day, however, Kita developed a very harsh cough. One that wracked her entire body. Flama was very worried and stayed by her side through the day and into the night. She would sit there for hours waiting for Kita to wake up, but she never did. The next morning, the sky was dark and the clouds were heavy with rain. Kita was lifted from her bed and carried into the main room by her family. Flama watched them carry her over to a big black casket and lay her inside. She watched as they carried her slowly out to a deep hole in the yard a few feet away from the house. She watched as they covered the hole and set a gravestone. She watched all of this happen and she wasn't able to stop it. In the past, she was always able to heal her friend and now, she was dead. This was a sickness that Flama could not heal. Flama would not eat, sleep or play for weeks, she sat in silence in the room she shared with Kita and would not leave the stool by her bed. She sat there, never moving and she became dreadfully skinny, her plumage became dull and her eyes lost all their usual shine. She had no will to live anymore and no hope. Her best friend, her sister, was gone. After a month had gone by, it was discovered that Kita had had a daughter and that she was very young and scared. She had lost her mother, she had no friends and her only home was a box in a dark alley that she shared with a small, malnourished tan and grey kitten. She needed a home and Flama knew just which home she should be taken into. Her's. She needed to know her mother's home and how much she cared for her daughter. Kita had left many things in storage for her daughter and hoped that someday, they would be reunited. Flama flew to the young girl and told her that she was going to be taken to a new home and that it was the one that her mother was born in. As the young girl scooped up her kitten and climbed onto Flama's back, Flama suddenly realized that she had a will to live and she had to protect Kita's only child, no matter what. She became stronger, happier and braver, for now, she had someone to protect once more.

a young phoenix flew away from her nest looking for adventure she flew away from her mountain top home past forests , rivers and she landed in Mike's meadow where he naps after his daily mission is done she has never seen a sleeping Zolnixi before ,he looks so comfortable she naps too.
