These are maireener shells--

Maireeners are also known as "rainbow kelps." Below are images of my Maireener Kelpari project (there are several slightly different variants).

I'm going to be pretty!
--will need a lot of Dye when she becomes a teen. She's Macho Man's daughter out of one of my Luminous Lotus Kelparies, Tina. She will look approximately like this once she's grown up and been dyed--

Well, this never happens. I just purchased a Kelpari whose traits and colors are already rather close to being a Maireener--
"Lotus"
Meanwhile, Kokomo has grown up and received her first Dye job--
Obviously I need more Dye.

Here's Kokomo's new look!
Her Vis Glowfish is not easy to see, but I am not certain I want to mess with her Gene 1 color any further.
Edit: Oh, and here's how Lotus looks now--

Adding this Tamed colt to the herd--
"Take On Me"
He has Carried Luminous Mane, which I need. His Carried Banded Sea Snake won't hurt anything, either. However, for now I'm just going to Dye him. The new Kelpari Mutation might be preferable to one that I currently plan to use. If so, I can use a Greater Mutator to give this fellow the new trait.
Edit: After 3 Greater Pet Dyes--
--one each on Eye Color, Color One, and Mutation Color Two.

Let us see whether any of the newer Kelpari traits could improve the Maireeners. Butterfly Fairy Stripes?
Not much difference.
Valentine Lace?
Makes the fins too pale.
Reaper's Touch?
No.
