Okay, so I've been bombarded with notification about the Spring Festival and it's gazillion contests. I'm excited about all of it, but there's a problem. I have no idea what I'm doing! There's so much stuff I'm kinda overwhelmed and definitely confused. I have a torrent of questions, so I'm hoping one of the many extremely intelligent and probably omniscient gods user now what I'm supposed to do.

What exactly is a 'contest'? What differentiates the ones in the bulletin from ones in threads? What even is the bulletin? How many contests are there? How do I enter a thread contest? How do I enter a bulletin contest? What makes a contest official?

What is "Spring Festival Explore Zone" and why are there so many buttons?! Why are there flowers? What am I supposed to do? What's regional chat? WHAT AM I DOING?!

What is a 'Spring Themed Sylesti"? Are they festival exclusive? How do I get flower seeds? How do I get fertilizer? How does nurturing work?

What's the egg currency thingy called? What is it? Is it just used in the SF shop? How do I get egg currency thingies? Are they important?

And, lastLY, WHAT AM I DOING PLEASE HELP THIS IS ALL SO CONFUSING AAAAAAAAAAAH

Calm down lol. You'll be fine if you focus on one event at a time instead of trying to comprehend all of it at once. Put simply, there are two main elements: contests and the festival zone

Contests

There are two kinds of contests:

Official forum contests

These can be found in the 'official games and contests' sub-forum. If you go there, you can see that there are currently 5 contests available for entry. We can see that they are available because there is a pin symbol next to the thread title. If there is a lock symbol, then the contest is un-available.

These contests are easy to become involved in. All you need to do is visit the thread and follow the instructions. When you post your results into the thread, that counts as your entry

Spring Contests

These contests are directly related to the festival zone (in the case of enemies defeated) nurturing, and releasing pets. You can find out more about these contests by going explore-> seasonal festival -> spring festival sylesti contests.

Festival Explore zones

This (and the bulletin) is separate from the forums. In short: the festival zone provides the means to get themed and exclusive sylesties.

The explore zone can be accessed by going explore -> seasonal festival. It opens up a zone that you can explore, battle enemies, find eggs, and embark upon egg hunts in the mazes. In addition, you can also find and capture themed pets as well as gardening supplies like fertilizers, seeds and nourishments. These gardening items are then used to craft exclusive sylesties.

Okay, thanks for your help! I think I understand most of it, though there's still one thing I'm confused about.

How do I enter Spring Festival Sylesti Contests? I've looked at the bulletin and can't figure it out. I want to enter the nurture ones, preferably all of them. Does anyone know how?

The problem you're probably having is that the contest's on the page haven't actually started yet. They don't start til noon tomorrow. Once they start, all you have to do is nurture, fight in the festival zone, or release pets to be entered into the contests ^.^
