I think the interface should work the same for both stables and inventory. Currently for the stables you can move an empty space onto a pet, but for the inventory you cannot move an empty space onto an item. I suggest you should choose 1 or the other.

(I would prefer being able to move empty spaces. Though less intuitive, it makes my life easier)
