Since I found a new eggling on the game I was wondering how long will it take for it to hatch.

Roughly 3 days but nurturing it daily and having other people nurture as well will speed it up a little.
I have a guide with images here on how to nurture pets.

For eggs, you can see how much time is left till they hatch by looking at the bar in the genetics box of their profile page. That bar indicates the readiness of the pet out of 72, which is when it will hatch. So the remaining number is the remaining time in hours till the pet hatch.
