You know those items in the wardrobe? The ones with a map symbol by them? I was just wondering how to get them. Can you randomly find them when you explore? Do you get them from missions?
Also, what do the 'sun' symbols mean? Festival items?

Some map items you can find by battling certain enemy encounters like bandits (I think there's even something you can get from Myconids and Vorkids but don't quote me on that. It's either from the underlings or from the boss of them.) but most of them are gotten from map bosses. These items never expire but are rare drops.

And yes the sun items are items that are only obtainable during various festivals whether it's from a map or from the diamond shop or through some other means during said festival. After that I believe the item essentially expires and the only way to get them is through another user.
