Sorry if this is a really dumb question, I'm just a huge noob and don't want to seem annoying.
Basically what I'm asking is this: if a user has a really cheap pet (1g or 10g) with a lot of genes and/or mutations, is it rude to buy it or is it ok?

It's totally fine, they probably just want some more room in their stables. And if they didn't really mean to sell it, then they can just message you.
