I was thinking, maybe it could be possible to have avatar items, that give your fighting pets some kind of buff, when you put them on your avatar. They could be super special festival items. Like, if you defeat the headless horseman during the fall festival, there could be a chance he dropped a hold, that reduces the damage your pets take from undead enemies. Something like that.
At the moment, the avatar is just some kind of dress up doll. It would be nice to make it something, that has more impact on the game.

It's an idea we're floating around, but not decided on one way or the other as of yet.

Yes. We will be looking into creating a system where players can play as co-op or against each other. Obviously, all optional.
This will largely depend on if we can overcome the technical obstacles though.

Oh okay
Well, you're a really great coder, so maybe there won't be a huge technical obstacles?

My only concern with a system like this is that people will be dressing for stats rather than for the items they like.
...Not that I'm necessarily against such a thing, but if I have to wear some items that I'm not especially fond of in order to get battle boosts, when I have other items that I like how they look much better, I wouldn't quite be too keen on that.
Would it be possible for these boost to come as something like "enchants", where you can apply the bonuses to items you want to have them on?
If not, then que sera sera.

Maybe there can be a work around besides the enchants so that people can still wear what they want, like:
1. Have two slots for clothing, one for clothing with effects, another for aesthetics/looks
2. Have a switch that turns off what the clothing with effects use, so that no matter what you wear as the effective clothing, it won't ever show.
Also, this idea sounds cool to implement for pet costumes!
