Even though I keep running out of money and my Pet keeps getting ambushed, but other than that this is a really fun game.

I'm glad that you're having fun! If you're having issues with money I would recommend putting your pets on missions. There is also a gold guide here: http://www.sylestia.com/forums/?t=2280
