You're a Zolnixi that lives up in the Great North and a huge famine hits and almost all humans die while the rest leave. What will you do? Join up with other Zolnixi's, fend off predators and hunt together? That sounds good, let's find some others then. The pack will start to head south, trying to find out where the humans have gone and have many strange encounters with creatures of the wild.

Summer walked out of her house, sadly. Her human had died a few days ago and no one had came to get her. Summer's stomach growled as she thought about food, gosh she was hungry. As she walked down Clover Lane she noticed all the houses were deserted. Not one human was in sight. She turned down an alley where she used to meet her sister, Spring. Where was everyone? Suddenly, she heard growling behind her. Startled, Summer fluttered upwards, using her leaf wings. "Is someone there," she asked the darkness.

Chinook stepped out of the shadows and looked up at the scared little nixi. She could have been pretty if Chinook was interested in finding a mate. "Hello," he spoke up, "I'm Chinook of Frozen Creek, and you are?"

Summer saw the insanely handsome Zolnixi and fluttered back down,"H-Hi, I'm Summer.. Of my house?" Summer didn't understand what he meant my 'of Frozen Creek' so she just kinda stared at her paws. She began to shover from the cold, winter was only starting and it was this cold? Odd, Summer thought to herself. She liked summer the most, it was warm and there were all kinds of sweet scents. Summer got cute short of her thoughts by rapid paw beats behind her.

Spring ran towards their meeting spot. Her sister was probably there already. On her way over here Spring had noticed how desolate the town was. Was it because her owner left? Everyone likes her owner, just like everyone must like Spring, since she was the most famous sylesti in the North. Spring arrived at their meeting spot and saw Summer talking to a sled dog.. What was he doing in town? Spring ran up in front of her sister and snarled at the Zolnixi, "Who. Are. You?" Nobody messed with her sister. Summer shrank a little,

Chinook chuckled softly, "I'm Chinook." Now that girl was feisty. He looked at them and realized a resemblance, they must be sisters. Chinook glanced at the sky, the sun was setting which meant it was time to seek shelter. Monsters hunt the roads and forests at night. They were quite scary, Chinook knew from self experience. He looked at the sisters and gestured with his tail that they could follow him if they wanted. Maybe... Maybe Chinook could have a new pack.. A new family? A flicker of hope lighted in him. He would have company after the many days alone.

Chinook turned the corner and saw some more zolnixies. He wasn't sure wether the 2 girls were following him but he approached the other 2, "Hello, I'm Chinook of Frozen Creek, and you 2 are?" Chinook felt like he recognized them from somewhere, maybe an errand of some sort with his owner.
