You and your Sylesti enter a small town at midnight. It doesn't look like anything is happening, regardless of the time, but then a young woman comes walking quickly up to you.
"Oh! Hello. My name is Cassandra. Nice to meet you." Warily, the girl looks around before holding her hand out.
"Hello, my name is (your username), nice to meet you," you say, shaking her hand.
"Okay, lets get down to business: I need your help. Please. My fathers crops have been stolen. Not the actual planted ones,"Cassandra said at your confused expression. "The ones in the silos'."
"Who stole them?" You ask, getting out a notepad and pencil. Your Sylesti starts sniffing around.
"That's the thing," she says, her eyes scanning the gravel path. "We don't know. Here's a list of possible suspects."

You take a look at the list.

Bandits
Thieves
Possibly Timothy
Raising your eyebrows, you ask, "Who's Timothy?"
"Oh, Timothy is my brother."Cassandra replies.
Suddenly, your Sylesti nudges your leg and points north, south and west.
To the North, past Cassandra, there lies a large farm with multiple silos'.
To the South, behind you, there lies a large, dark forest.
To the West, to your left, there lies a large plain, the direction you came from.
Which direction will you choose?

me and galian beast will head to the north, maybe we can find a scent trail....
