Treasure the Tale's Gold

Have you ever imagined what the pot of gold might hold? The big gold pot at the end of every rainbow, the one those little green men seek and guard? I do, whenever I see those six colors splayed across the big blue sky. I imagine a velvety coin, soft, and pure gold. I imagine it reflecting so much light that I can't look directly at it, and it's tone is slightly whitened by such a glow. This is Treasure, she is derived of this image in my head. She sits in the big golden pot at the end of the rainbow, and she is the tale's gold.

In China, pandas, the color red, and (most) dragons are considered signs of good luck. Due to the similarity between the leaves of clovers and of fire fern shamrocks, I used the runes, as well as the green on the dragon scales, to express a bit of the luck that is usually associated with St. Patrick's Day.

The inspiration for this theme came from this: the nature of the st patrick's day celebrations have changed through the years, and have now thankfully become more of a celebration of Irish culture then a veneration of the saint. Long before christianity distroyed the Old Ways, the Irish had a long tradition and understanding of the Fae, and so I present to you this lovely forest sidhe, Heart of Yew.
