I've recently gotten back into cosplay, and funny enough, its the thing thats motivating me to study harder and take care of myself more!

So, my question for you all...do you cosplay?
If so, who do you cosplay as? Got an cool cosplays you want to share? (If you want to of course, and if you are comfortable with sharing your pictures online!)

This is just a fun place for cosplayers and non cosplayers to share their love for dressing up, making things, and just to share their coolness to everyone!

I'm still a beginner, only have three(well, two are unfinished) costumes at the moment, but i really wanna get more into it.

Currently working on Rey from the new Star Wars trilogy, decided on her second outfit so i'd stand out a bit. Finally nice to actually do one without needing a wig! Which, brings me to the fact i'm also working on Stevonnie from Steven Universe and that is gonna need a loooong wig and i just might do something with the hair to make it less of a nightmare...

I tell myself each time that i'm gonna sew a lot of it, but then i also always make a beeline for clearance racks and usually score surprisingly accurate pieces that only require minor altering(or major but are still good bases).

Here's the latest hauls on Rey(on my art blog bc my main is set to private whoops), with a ref i doodled up because there's no solid references of the second outfit yet. Nothing altered yet since we're still recovering from the move and my sewing machine isn't in the apartment...then i need to tackle the shoes and i'll be more or less done, i was going for 'accurate as possible' but am settling for 'close enough'...the hair i'll just be using my own for, it's the right color and is too complicated for a wig beginner like me to ruin a perfectly good wig for. Still need the arm wraps+bracers, shoulder pads and detailing, removing the shirt sleeves, adding kneepads and slits to the pants, and then, like i said, the shoes. They sell the actual ones online, but i am not paying $200+ for vegan shoes from portugal

Stevonnie needs the shirts to be cropped, and the star logo ironed on, and then the belly gem. Saw a rad Cookie Cat messenger bag that would be perfect tbh, we'll see if i get that. Also wig. Which i might go Tangled on and braid and stick flowers into it. It's not THAT long but i'm not exactly great at wigkeep so it's just a matter of convenience.

I bought a thief king Bakura (Yu-gi-oh) cosplay costume a couple years back. But I never really got a good chance to show it off. So sometimes I just cosplay in my house when no one is around :P

I went to a costume party as Asriel Dreemurr once.... No one knew who I was..,

Asriel from Undertale right? That must have been cool. I went to a halloween party at my school as Ben Drowned...everyone thought I was link even with the bloody eyes. I had a friend make my sword, shield, and my hat. She was also kind enough to buy my link shirt and some tights and boots. The tights are actually just white yoga like pants. I had a blast there because the said friend was Jeff the Killer and kept taking my sword or my hat. My girlfriend did my make-up so I looked like I had not only got beat up, but my hair was matted and looked like it had been put in the wash using dirty pond water. though it was still clean. I would put a photo of that on here, but my laptop is a jerk.

I've never actually cosplayed myself, but a group of my friends and I are planning on going to a con this summer. But I might not go because my family is planning a possible trip to Nevada (which is pretty much the opposite side of the country for me) to visit family. But I'm still getting the cosplay because my mother wants to make it. She's also going to make a Harley Quinn cosplay for me to model so she can sell it. She's really good at sewing and embroidery, and she's made everything from infant clothes to wedding dresses to quilts and pillows. Anyway, the cosplay that she's making for me is Ruby from RWBY. and my brother is going to a con in Canada as Kirito from SAO. Wow I typed a lot. o.O

I cosplayed as the mad hatter.........no one could guess it right........it was sad I even had the hat.
