Chapter 1
Twilightpaws fur was ruffled as she awoke from a long nap, Shatteredpaw nudging her up,
Wake up sleepy head! we have to train today! Shatteredpaw Said as he tried to grab her by her scruff,
Hey! im getting up okay? do you even know how hard its like to be a medicine cat apprentice and learning to hunt and fight at the same time mousebrain? Twilightpaw said playfully as she raced out to Coalfur,Fallenpelt and Wolfpelt,
What took so long? Mountainpaw asked flatly as she followed Coalfur, Shatteredpaw looked at Twilightpaw with his Dark green eyes, Twilightpaw knew that they were gonna race so she screeched happily as she nicked Shatteredpaws ear and ran off to Wolfpelt with Shatteredpaw running after her.Coalfur looked at Mountainpaw in dismay as she missed catching a rabbit, Twilightpaw looked at her sister slump to her mentor with a small robin in her mouth, Twilightpaws ears twitched as a large mouse ran by, she flipped and swiped the mouse until it was speared on her claws. Wolfpelt looked at the training grounds they will be going to after hunting.
What are we supposed to do,Coalfur? Shatteredpaw asked in a groan as the cats walked up to the training grounds from the camp, Shatteredpaw and Twilightpaw have do an example for if an enemy tries to bribe the cat and ambush the cat, Twilightpaw was the cat who would be ambushed and Shatteredpaw and Mountainpaw would be the enemy, Shatteredpaw walked up to Twilightpaw and tried to bribe her to follow him,
H-hey there, i have something cool to show you!,uh- Shatteredpaw screeched as Twilightpaw looked at him and unhooked her claws from his back and she went under Shatteredpaw and flipped him on his back to pin him down, Shatteredpaws tail waved flailing around and his claws trying to scratch Twilightpaw, Mountainpaw sprang from one of the saplings and lunged at her sister and swiped at her tail with claws half way sheathed, Twilightpaw turned and gets caught off guard and her sister gets a free swipe at her eyes, Twilightpaw hissed as Wolfpelt mewed at them to stop and return to camp. Twilightpaw trotted to Wolfpelt and Shatteredpaw jumped on her and they ruffled their fur in the leaves of spring,Mountainpaw looked at her sister and sighed as she walked back to camp with them and the mentors.
Chapter 2
Twilightpaw tackles Shatteredpaw and she squeals when he nicks her on the nose and bites her scruff and shakes playfully, Sacredstar and Turquoiseclaw sit sharing a rabbit, Mountainpaw sat full of depression and sadness as she watched her sister and Shatteredpaw play happily and share tounges,The other warriors are on patrols and some are laying in the sun and doing chores,
You seem a bit down, Mountainpaw. Mountainpaws fur ruffled in confusion of why her mentor would care,
just wanting a friend like your sister and Shatteredpaw? Coalfur said as he sat down next to Mountainpaw,
Love does not matter to me anymore. Mountainpaw growled as she scratched the grass,
love will come, but not so fast, I bet Twilightpaw and Shatteredpaw are friends. Coalfur said in a comforting way, Mountainpaw snorted and looked away, Then her ears twitched at a snarling and barking sound coming from the forest, Yowls took place as Mountainpaw looked around to see her sister being attacked by the fox that had charged into camp.Shatteredpaw, Hailear, Kestralfeather, and Maplefur Were fighting the fox while other cats charged at the fox and screeched, Mountainpaw yowled as She saw Coalfur charge in and attack viciously, Mountainpaw thought of nothing but to save her sister and join the attack.
Wolfpelt! We need herbs ready! a screech broke out as more cats dived in and the Strong sticky scent of blood flooded the camp. The fox ran yelping away with a torn eye and multiple deep cuts in the neck, Wolfpelt came rushing out with all kinds of herbs and cobwebs,
Who is hurt?? Wolfpelt hissed,
Twilightpaw has the most cuts and most blood shedded Maplefur rasped as she led Wolfpelt to her fallen kit, Mountainpaw lay next to her bleeding sister, Twilightpaw panted and yowled in frustration that she let herself be attacked and won over, Wolfpelt put cobwebs on her scars and on her slashed throat, Wolfpelt ran around with all the herbs and cobwebs to almost half of the clan, Mountainpaw helped pass out herbs as her sister limped to the apprentice den,
Twilightpaw! You have to go to the medicine den! Maplefur yowled as she tried to push Twilightpaw to the medicine den,
I wont let myself be taken care for like a kit! Twilightpaw screeched as she limp-trotted to the apprentice den. Mountainpaw trotted into the apprentice den where her sister lay with a plump mouse,
Dont waste the fresh-kill on me Mountainpaw. Twilightpaw said as she sank her claws into a moss ball given to her by Wolfpelt, Mountainpaw still hated her sister but also had a small piece of love for her.
Chapter 3
Twilightpaw heard strange rustling outside of the apprentice den, Hmm,I bet my wounds are good enough for a small check around camp Twilightpaw thought as she stumbled up onto her paws and she sneaked out of the apprentice den. The camp was empty and the nests were full of sleeping cats, Twilightpaw looked at the dirtplace tunnel, She looked to both side then she sprinted low the ground and through the tunnel, she saw a strange gray tux/siberian ( Wearing a black dog teeth collar) cat watching her, the cat was low to the ground and about the same size as her, The cat had a slash on its ear,fresh as the air, it looked straight at Twilightpaw as she stalked a bit closer,
i dont expect that I have a very friendly face but, im just a bit lost in this forest. the cat said in a shaky voice, Twilightpaw twitched her ears and her tail swayed in the opening in the trees,
Oh,im sorry,I-I-I forgot that I was meant t-to introduce myself and not go straight forward and ask for aid. the cat mewed in a small voice, M-my name is T-Thunderpaw. he said shyly and he looked at Twilightpaw as if asking what her name was,
M-my name is Twilightpaw. Twilightpaw stuttered. Thunderpaw sat straight and asked if Twilightpaw was in for a story for why he had been in their territory,
Well,there was u-um a cat with huge fangs and it came into my small shelter and it whispered you will never live to see your family again,rouge! and I t-t-tried to run away from it but it got its claw into my ear and made a deep wound, I got out of my shelter and ran to this territory,then here I am, with another apprentice. Thunderpaw looked at Twilightpaw with sorrow and he walked towards some grass,
Will you mind if I stay here and camp here for now? Thunderpaw looked at Twilightpaw, Twilightpaw sat and looked at Thunderpaw,
I promise you wont get attacked, I can bring food for you Twilightpaw said in a shy voice,
Dont waste food for me, you are too pretty to starve Thunderpaw said, Twilightpaw blushed.
Im still going to give you food at least. Twilightpaw said as she said goodbye and stalked back to camp.
Chapter 4
Mountainpaw woke to find her sister gone and Dreadpaw hiding in his nest, Shatteredpaw looked at Mountainpaw and dropped a mouse infront of her, I hope you like it. Shatteredpaw said as he turned and walked out of the den to the elders den with two robins, Twilightpaws nest was empty, only a weak scent of her fur, Mountainpaw snorted and went her mother , Maplefur, Maplefur, where is Twilightpaw? Mountainpaw mewed, Maple fur looked at Mountainpaw with eyes full worry, She went out to explore, i just hope she comes back soon, Mountainpaw, I also wanted to tell you about the day that the clan almost was destroyed. Maplefur mewed sadly, Mountainpaws ears twitched as she waited for Maplefur to tell her, Me and your father were apprentices at the time, The clan had its old leader, Blindedstar, And your father was not deputy as he is now, The evening it happened is when twolegs came into the camps with what was said to be guns, The twolegs ran around camp shooting kits and cats to the death, they took my brother with them, ( In a net) , I hope he is alive, I came to the clan when I was 8 moons old, We escaped while warriors took the elders to the starpool for safety, Blindedstar and others died trying to help clanmates and queens escape. Maplefur sighed and went over to her mate, Turquoiseclaw. I wonder if I should look for Twilightpaw. Mountainpaw thought as she walked towards the dirtplace tunnel, Mountainpaw! Mountainpaw turned around and saw Coalfur rushing up to her, Mountainpaw, we must find some herbs for Wolfpelt, she is running low on Catmint, Borage, and some Cobwebs. Coalfur instructed as he headed towards the entrance of camp.
Chapter 5
Twilightpaw, Wait. Thunderpaw said as Twilightpaw was about to leave, Hmm? Twilightpaw asked, Have you wondered about this collar I have been wearing? Thunderpaw asked and he felt a bit foolish of asking a cat he had only seen for met day, Well, not really, I dont really care what you wear. Twilightpaw hesitated as she padded back towards Thunderpaw and sat down patiently, Im a Boneclan cat, please, d-d-dont hate me, I know that Boneclan cats are foolish bloodfurred killers, I ran away when I saw Salvage look at me and unsheathed his claws to kill a much bigger orange furred tabby with a kittypet collar. Thunderpaw mewed slowly and looked at Twilightpaw, I hope you dont have a bad and horrible life like me. Thunderpaw said as he turned and made his way to his makeshift den, Twilightpaw looked at Thunderpaw for the last time and turned away back to camp, Twilightpaw heard small noises of mice and birds on the way back to camp, She also collected moss for the nests at the camp, Looks like you came in time. Mountainpaw grunted as she turned back and joined the cats that had gathered for a clan meeting, Twilightpaw dropped the moss off at the medicine den and hurried over to the group of cats waiting at high rock, We have gathered here for there are surprises coming ,ButterflyWing will be very pleased with the new kits that she and Hailear will have, Tomorrow is also the gathering day and the day for medicine cats and their apprentices to go to the starpool to visit spiritclan cats. Sacredstar mewed to the cats watching below. I have to tell Thunderpaw i wont be visiting him tomorrow. Twilightpaw thought, Twilightpaw walked towards the dirtplace tunnel and into the forest, She went to the small clearing where Thunderpaw hid, Looks like your friend is here. a hiss rang through the small clearing, Twilightpaw! Thunderpaw shrieked his eyes full of fear, Oh no you dont you little rat! the cat that had been pinning Thunderpaw to the ground, Salvage, p-p-please dont take me back. Thunderpaw squeaked, Silence fool! Salvage hissed as he dug his claws into Thunderpaws back, P-p-p-please, Twilightpaw, leave now, I-I-I know you wont want to see me die. Thunderpaw shivered, I would of killed you here and now Thunder, but it looks like I have two to kill. Salvage hissed as he grabbed Thunderpaw by the scruff and threw him at the tree, e-e-eh, l-l-leave T-T-T-Twilightpaw, B-before its too l-late. Thunderpaw rasped, Her blood shall lay in my claws! Salvage screeched, I wont let you take my life or my friends! Twilightpaw hissed and she ran at Salvage, She skidded under him and bit his legs hard, Salvage bit her back and scratched viciously, scratching the rotten flesh he has,Twilightpaw looked up as rain started to pour on the battling cats, Thunderpaw lay helpless by the tree soaked with blood, Twilightpaws ears roared with the sound of battle the scent of blood filled her nose, Twilightpaw leaped onto Salvage and bit his neck, striking his throat, Salvage yowled and fell to the ground. Twilightpaws vision darkened W-w-w-whats happening?? Twilightpaw collapsed.
Chapter 6
Twilightpaw woke and looked up in shock, Thunderpaw sat watching Twilightpaw and muttered curses to himself, T-T-T-Thunderpaw?? Twilightpaw shivered, Twilightpaw???? Thunderpaw looked up and looked at Twilightpaw with his fur sticky with blood and a torn off ear, Get away from her! Mountainpaws voice rang out as she tackled Thunderpaw and pinned him down, Mountainpaw?! Twilightpaw screeched as she looked at Thunderpaw pinned to the ground then up at Mountainpaw, Whats going on here? Coalfur came pelting into the clearing, The boneclan cat tried to attack Twilightpaw! Mountainpaw mewed as she rushed over to her sister and nuzzled her Where have you been! Mountainpaw said and she turned to face Thunderpaw, Ill tear you apart! Mountainpaw screeched as she leaped at Thunderpaw but Coalfur grabbed her by the scruff, Dont go straight ahead and attack Mountainpaw! Coalfur scolded, Thunderpaw hesitated and stepped towards Coalfur, I-I-Im sorry, but I didnt hurt her. Thunderpaw mewed and he pointed towards Slavages dead, limp, body, D-d-d-did you k-k-kill t-t-that cat??? Mountainpaw squeaked, No, Twilightpaw here did, Trying to save me. Thunderpaw said as he walked towards Twilightpaw and smiled, At least I dont look like you! Teased Twilightpaw, We must hurry to camp. Coalfur mewed as he trotted towards the camp, Where have you been! Maplefur and Turquoiseclaw came running to their daughters, Thunderpaw came into the camp shyly, he stood by his only known friend, Twilightpaw, Who is this? Turquoiseclaw hissed as he stared at Thunderpaw, This is Thunderpaw. Twilightpaw mewed slowly, WHY HAVE YOU BRUNG A BONECLAN CAT?! Turquoiseclaw yowled, Twilightpaw, Mountainpaw, And Thunderpaw paused with fur raised, Twilightpaw and Mountainpaw had never heard their father yell so aggressively, Twilightpaw here has the story. Coalfur said strictly as he pushed Twilightpaw towards her father, I-I-I, Heard n-n-noises outside t-t-the den and- Twilightpaw was cut off, I was foolish enough to wait infront of a camp and get another apprentice in trouble. Thunderpaw rasped in a guilty voice, Turquoiseclaw growled and his hatred for Boneclan cats risen, He was able to control it, as he walked away to address patrols. Thunderpaw lay sadly and muttering more curses to himself in the medicine den, will you ever stop cursing yourself? Wolfpelt said as she organized herbs, Not until Im not guilty. sighed Thunderpaw as he played with a stick, Twilightpaw walked in with herbs for Wolfpelt, a small sigh as she walked by Thunderpaw who looked up expecting a greeting, Twilightpaw dropped the herbs on a rock and looked back at Thunderpaw who was watching her sadly, You might as well take Thunderpaw the the gathering, I hope Sacredstar wont mind. Wolfpelt urged as she stood to get ready to go to the starpool, Twilightpaw, you can come with me or you can go to the gathering with your friend and Mountainpaw. Wolfpelt mewed for the last time, I think Ill go to the gathering. Twilightpaw said as she went outside and joined the large patrol of cats that have gathered for the gathering, Thunderpaw looked around at all the other cats, Taintednose looked at Thunderpaw and smirked, Thunderpaw? Is this your first gathering? Twilightpaw asked, Yes. Thunderpaw answered as they walked across the large twoleg log.
Chapter 7
Looks like we have a Boneclan cat. a white and gold apprentice hissed, Thunderpaw growled and unsheathed his claws, still covered with dried blood from trying to escape Salvages attack. The white and gold apprentice froze and had enough sense to be speechless, Twilightpaw sat next to Hailear and Thunderpaw on the other side of her, Twilightpaw? Are you sure im welcome? Thunderpaw asked, Im not sure. Twilightpaw mewed back, Mountainpaw took a silent look at her sister then turned to look at the leaders, Welcome clans, It is told we have tragic news that will be passed on, after we hear about other news for the other clans. Splashstar said as she looked at Sacredstar and purred, We have exciting news in Moonclan, We will be having new and strong kits joining the clan, We also have a visitor, Thunderpaw. Sacredstar looked down at Thunderpaw who had been watching every move the leaders made, He froze and looked around, Twilightpaws ears twitched, All of the sudden a yowl broke out as Burnstar fell from the large rock that the leaders settled on, Burnstar was fighting the fox that had attacked Moonclans camp, All cats rushed to attack more oncoming foxes, Thunderpaw looked around to see a male fox running towards him with blood over its muzzle, Thunderpaw! Sacredstar yowled as he lept onto the fox sinking his fangs into its throat, Thunderpaws fur turned black, his eyes Icy blue as he attacked the fox that had Sacredstar pinned, Sacredstar raked the stomach of the fox with his claws, grabbing hold on its chest. Thunderpaw teared the foxs eyes, The fox howled in pain and it snatched Thunderpaws scruff and ripped apart his throat, Thunderpaw yowled and clawed the fox, Sacredstar knew the fox was blind and attacked it from behind, Clawing and biting its hind legs, the fox stumbled and dropped Thunderpaw, Thunderpaw reached his paw out as his fur turned back to normal and his vision became hazy, Sacredstar looking at the dead fox was the last thing he saw. Thunderpaw opened his eyes, lying in blood, he looked to his side and saw Twilightpaws limp body, Thunderpaw tried to stand, he limped and fell as he passed dead cats, some unconscious, |
