Users will trade items for diamonds.
Generally, the one receiving the diamonds needs to set up a Diamond Exchange (selling 1 gold for the specified amount of diamonds) and the person paying the diamonds needs to buy that Exchange. The item can then just be sent as normal.
People have different ideas on the value of diamonds but most people pick a value between 2,000g - 3,000g. As an example, if an essence was worth 50k, then it would cost anywhere from 17 to 25 diamonds depending on the people involved in the trade.
