How are you normally supposed to acquire Genetic Test Kits?

You get one one-use one when you start. You can buy one-use ones from other users on the Trade Broker (or I suppose you could get sent one by another user if another user was so inclined). I've never obtained a one-use one any other way.

You can buy an Exceptional Genetic Test Kit in the Diamond Shop that has unlimited uses.
You can also check Breeding Discussion for people offering testing services with their unlimited Kit.

I believe everyone's given a one-time-use test kit at the start of the game. In the past, there were occasions where players could get more of those during festivals, but I think the admins stopped doing that.

So now, the only way to get more one-time-use test kits would be to buy them from other players on the trade broker


You can get an exceptional limitless test kit by buying it in the diamond shop.

To get diamonds, you either need to spend real money, or save up a lot of gold to buy diamonds from other players in the currency exchange. There are periods where the admins will sell the exceptional test kit at a discount (usually during festivals), so if you're planning to buy, keep a look out for that.

Otherwise, there are players who offer free testing services in the breeding forum.
