(I am already aware of the face needing work.)

(And I'm aware that the ear/hands don't look quite right.)

Besides the things I already /know/ need fixing, what else should be on my list to look out for in the future?

Since nobody gave you a critique, i'll give you one!

First drawing:
The left arm of the girl angel looks weird. I think the hand is upside down (unless we are supposed to see the palm of the hand? In that case don't mind, considering you admit yourself you have problems drawing hands).
I won't criticize your digital painting skills since I don't know about digital painting.
I love drawings that are mostly grey with color on small part only, I often do drawings like that myself! I think it gives a special mood to the drawings.

Second drawing:
The only anatomical problem I see on this drawing is that the hands are too small (except for that, the anatomical proportions are good on both drawings)
Here, I can give you a fedback on you're technical skills since it is traditionnal art. I think you should not be afraid to press more on your color pencils when you use them, especially for the hair. It is possible to obtain colors as bright as the colors you can obtain with any other media with pencils. Random examples from google:

So, if I have to add something on you're list, it would be that: practice you're technical skills.

I'm wondering, how old are you? (It is always to difficult to judge artistic skills if you don't know the age of the artist. I would understand if you don't want to answer! ;) ).
I'm sure that if you keep drawing a lot, you'll become really good one day.
