Hidden traits are ones that are 'hidden' under a visible trait. For example, this ryori:

When you look at her, you can see that she has visible Rose Markings and Magma Runes. However, when you look at her image code, you can see this:

https://www.sylestia.com/image_builder_pet.php?species=ryori&breed=sylesti&gender=female&gd1=NN&gd2=CC&gd3=CD&md1=NN&md2=NN&md3=NN&ec=b4eff7&c1=010b46&c2=032e57&c3=f4f8f9&gd1c=d3f2f4&gd2c=ad75f8&gd3c=fefafa&md1c=a569fb&md2c=edfef6&md3c=a86bfd&maturity=540&costume=0&owned=1&size=250

The "C" is Magma Runes, but the "D" is Star Runes. Star Runes is a hidden trait. So, this ryori could pass either Magma Runes or Star Runes on to her babies. If her hidden trait were to show, she'd look like this:

Edit to add: you can only see hidden traits in the image code if you have them genetically tested.

Ok new question. How do you tell what is what? Like how do you know that D is star runes? Or is like the letters in the generator?

The letters are exactly the same as in the generator ^.^ The letters tell you the dominance of the genes too. So A will always show over B; E will always show over H; etc. So Star Runes will never show over Magma Runes, for example.

Same thing. The D is visible, the H is hidden. What traits they are depend on the species and the placement. Like... if that were an Aurleon's G1 trait it would show Marbled Tips and hide Quail. But if it were a Griffi's M2 trait it would show Swirling Snow and hide Skull Regalia.

Right. DD would be just that trait. so would pass that trait to its babies 100% of the time.
