Quick introduction

The door is a portal into many realms, which realm she may enter is unknown, but once she's there she can't get out until her job is complete. That job is also unknown until too late. Sometimes it's easy, other times it's not as simple. Why does she do it? If it's so risky, what's the point? Well, what does she have to lose, there's nothing here for her, there (wherever there may be) she has a purpose.


Chapter 1 - The Door

She wakes up to the sun glaring through her thinned curtains, the loud beeping of the alarm reaches her ears yet once again. It's the same every day. Every single day she wakes up to this, it gets kind of boring after a while. At first it's great, a safe home and a place to do whatever you want. But what can you do? You're blocked by walls wherever you go. You leave through a door and once again you reach the cold, lifeless concrete of another building to start work. It's a never ending vicious cycle. That was until she saw the door.

It was late, she had just left work to start off towards home. It was only a ten minute walk from her house, but then she came across them. She looked towards the ground, avoiding eye contact, but that didn't stop them. She heard them shouting, it was obviously directed towards her. They were blocking her way home so she had no other choice than to face them, or face a night out in the dark, cold, winter. It appeared that their shouting was getting more violent and they started to run towards her, she didn't have time to think before her legs started to run. She turned around a corner, a dark alley. Great, she thought to herself, out of all the places I could have gone I go here. Her chest was starting to tighten and she knew she wouldn't be able to run for much longer. A door! She thought. She could see a door which appeared to be open, the place looked abandoned. Which sent her mind whirling about how creepy the place looked, but what choice did she have. She threw herself in, shutting it quickly but quietly behind her. She leant against the door, her chest searing in pain. Her vision became blurred, she could hear the voices getting closer but then they reassuringly left and with that she collapsed.

She wakes up yawning. But this time there is no light shining through the curtains. There is no beeping alarm. Infact, there aren't even any walls, she's in the middle of a grassy meadow with a warm light shining down onto her. She sat up, slightly confused. "What, where am I?" she said. She looked around and saw a slightly yellowed, sealed envolope lay next to her, with neat writing on the front saying Your Mission. "I'm sure I was inside a building, how... How did I get here?" her voice sounds confused. She opened the small letter, pulling the envelope apart neatly so she could place the letter back in afterwards. She unfolded the piece of paper to reveal 'her mission'... (I will write the rest of this section tomorrow, please let me know if you're enjoying the story and feel free to correct me on any grammatical errors XD)

Edit: The letter said You have passed through the door. Meaning you have begun your mission and the only way you can return is to complete your mission successfully. Your mission this time is to find the rare plant known as Tilpicuta. Once you have found it return to this spot and the door should appear. Good luck...

''How the heck could this many people fail! All they have to do is find a flower...''
She looked around a bit for her bag when she spotted an egg. ''Okay then'' she said. Attached to the egg was a note. This egg will soon hatch and produce a creature, place your hand on the egg and the egg will register your DNA so it can form a compatible creature. ''Well, this sounds pretty interesting.'' She placed her hand gently onto the warm egg, it's colour changing rather quickly. Eventually the colour change slowed down and came to a stop. Then, the egg cracked. She jumped back slightly shocked by the sudden noise. The egg carried on cracking open, bit by bit, slowly revealing the creature inside. She watched in awe, the creature that was left was so cute! She couldn't believe her eyes. Had this creature really been created just like that? Either way she didn't care, it was hers now. ''Hello? Can you speak, or nah..?''
