Hi! I finally have enough proficiency points to get one of the top ones and still have 5 left to "purchase" the first proficiency in the tree - but it wont let me... I can purchase the health for 1 point but not the first proficiency for 5 points even though I have enough points.
Please let me know if there is some reason for this and also if there is a link to a discussion on proficiencies.

You must use 5 proficiency points before you can use the first proficiency in the tree. So, buy 5 of one of the thing, or you can imix it up. It's not about how you get them, it's about how many you use.
