Prologue



The little ryori could just feel it. The shadows, the fear, the endless death. They were coming. The Radioactive Zolnixis were coming. Suddenly, she was jolted from her feet as what looked like a green Spellcaster Zolnixi threw her at the ground.

She watched in horror as it slitted her throat and killed her. But in the distance she saw a small black egg, and she knew that egg was the Life Ryoris' future somehow, seconds before her death.

Can we add characters? Ones that fit the story of course.

The Red Curse ryori spread her Tempest Wings, staring at the small black egg. She gently tucked it into her small satchel, praying it wasn't a zolnixi's egg. Suddenly, she noticed a small crack in it, and, knowing herself, placed it in the hatchery. She suddenly had a warm feeling, that the massacre would be nothing once that egg hatched.

Falcor searched frantically for his egg. He had only left it for a day by the ryori camp to keep it safe during the battle. What if they smashed it? What if my own child rebelled against us? What if they torture the hatchling? Oh no, what have I done? The Radioactive Zolnixi thought in shock. The mother of the lost egg came up to him.

"Did you find our child?" she asked, a murderous look in her eyes. "N-No. The egg is gone without a trace..." His mate was also the queen of the Radioactive Zolnixis, and he had a feeling his chance of surviving was 1%. He bowed down to her. "I offer my greatest apologies, Queen Onyx." he said. Snarling, the queen beat him to the ground. "You fool. You lost our possibly most powerful weapon to the ryoris. The stupid ryoris! You may be my mate, but your time is up, and the only tears I will be shedding are the ones for our child." With that, she sliced his head off in one swift blow.

The Life Ryori heard a bark. A small bark, but a bark nonetheless. He entered the hatchery to find a single 1-vis Radioactive Zolnixi, gazing at him in wonder. The zolnixi had the Witch Doctor gene, which he knew no Radioactive Zolnixis had except the queen. But this one did. Should I kill it? Should I let it be? Should I teach it to fight for us? The 6-vis ryori wondered. He finally decided to tell Queen Forest about it. And somehow, he knew what the little zolnixi's name would be if he were with his family. It would have been Black Death, he could just feel it in his veins.
Queen Onyx would have called her son Black Death.
He shuddered and said, "Come on, Hope, let's find Queen Forest."

The lupora screamed. He was about to be imprisoned by some Life Ryoris who had seen his traits and wanted him as an ally/slave/prisoner/tool/bait/you get the point. A small hatchling zolnixi practiced his howling from the hatchery, the ryoris staring at him in hope. And suddenly, the lupora felt hopeful too, just hearing that howl. He finally bowed down to his captors and said, "I'd be happy to work for you." A small grin slowly crept across his face. He was going to be equal to a zolnixi pup, that he somehow knew was named Hope.

Far, far away, a zolnixi named Iceheart was trying to sway Queen Onyx's heart in his favor. It was working. He was quick, clever, strong, and beautiful. The queen was mating with him in no time. A few days later, Black Death truly did hatch. She was growling from the start, and with just one swipe, as she tested, she could murder a passing aurleon in flight.

Meanwhile, another Zolnixi love story unfolds, on the other side of the Great Barrier Mountains. Two zolnixis, both beautiful, agile, and clever, have crushes on each other. A peaceful future for everyone lies in this third hatchling being created, though neither of the proud canines know it. When one zolnixi made a move the other one followed, thus they became boyfriend and girlfriend fast.



The male was named Silver, the female called Flora. When they finally mated, they had two eggs. One was stolen and eaten by the Radioactive Zolnixis out hunting that had wandered past the border. The other was then kept safe, warm, and hidden. When it finally hatched, the parents forgot where it was. It had been adopted by an aurleon and called Galaxy.

These three zolnixi hatchlings, though they have completely different personalities, will become good friends and set out on a quest to save every living sylesti from a horror greater than any Pact. They will save the world, step in step, in sync with nature's harmonies and boundaries, as they learn what friendship can make a sylesti into.
