This question has probably been asked many times before, but can't seem to find it anywhere else on the forum.
I was wondering, is there a way to get test kits without using real money?
I mean, i now some people sell at the trade broker, but i mean in the game itself?
I have a master kit myself but was wondering since one of my friends told me they don't do much breeding because they can't afford a test kit. :/
I don't know about other people, but i would find breeding a LOT more tedious if i couldn't test my syleties before breeding.

The unlimited test kits can only be bought using diamonds. Diamonds can be obtained (if you're lucky) during festivals, but usually people who can't spend money and wants diamonds save up gold and buy them on the currency exchange. Not cheap, takes time, but possible, especially if you do missions regularly and don't spend too much gold.


One-time-use test kits are sometimes given out during festivals, that's probably where the players selling them on the broker got them from. Otherwise, the game itself doesn't let you buy one-time-use test kits.


There are players who offer free testing services in the breeding forum. It's still inconvenient if you compare to having your own test kit, but it's a free option, and a good alternative until you manage to save up for one.


And yes, breeding can be a pain if you don't know the exact traits your pets have xP
There are alternatives to get your pets tested without needing to get an unlimited test kit, but honestly, if you're intending to mass breed/do projects, it's worth it to slowly save up and get a test kit for yourself.


Edit: by "you" I mean your friends, or just people without test kits in general.

I must admit i think they should make a new location (like a lab) where you could pay a certain amount of gold to get a pet tested, instead of the test kits. It just seems like that the site(or at least the players) focuses most on the breeding. :/
But again, I don't have any experience in making or managing a virtual pet site, so can't really go around preaching can i? hehe X)

That sounds like a good idea actually. Maybe you can suggest it in the suggestion forums? and who knows, maybe the admins will implement it someday.

Though I guess they'll need to balance out how much it'll cost, since gold is generally easy to earn on the game, and they do need people to buy diamonds to make a living... =P
