When I try to do something it says I'm battling so then I go to battle in the Garden of Magnates or something like that but no enemy show up. I'm in battle but there's no enemy or anything that's battling against me.

Just block with your pets. It will end the battle for you.

The button that looks like a shield in the Attack panel. Bottom row, second from right if I recall correctly.
