You first hear about it from a friend. Apparently, the owner of the complex is a superhuman themselves, but they have the "normal person" act down and managed to acquire the building and furnish it. A safe haven is available, it seems...

You are a young graduate of the prestigious Forsythia Academy, and a new member of the SEF, ready to hunt down some superhumans. Recently, rumors of an apartment complex solely for superhumans have been spreading, and you are assigned along with some others to check the source of them.
When you become more involved with the affairs of the superhumans, commonly called "Shadows", you start discovering secrets about both the SEF and yourself that you never wanted to know....

The setting of this RP is 2040 Tokyo. More foreigners live there, and technology is far more advanced. The apartment complex, "Begonia Apartments" is located in the city center, whereas the SEF headquarters are located on the outskirts.
The SEF (Superhuman Elimination Force) is a specific branch of the government that specializes in superhuman arrest and elimination. All officers must attend Forsythia Academy before joining the SEF. The minimum age for an officer is 20 years old. Officers often use weapons like laser pistols, regular guns, tasers, and throwing knives, though they may use basically anything as long as it fits the modern vibe (sorry, no broadswords).
Superhumans are the result of a nuclear disaster that occurred in 2035. Superhumans are the people that were affected by the radiation; superhumans can be as young as 5 years old. They have special powers such as: telekinesis, inhuman speed, x-ray vision, super strength, etc.
Technology in 2040 is something quite similar to technology today, with the exception of the AIs. The AIs (Artificial Intelligence) work at places like grocery stores and factories. Touchscreens and holograms are used. Tablet-like personal devices are carried around by everybody and are used as an ID.

The apartment complex has 6 floors with 4 apartments each. The apartments are labeled 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, etc, the number changing with the floors. Each apartment is 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and a living room/kitchen place. Apartments are pre-furnished with queen-size beds and a small couch.
The SEF headquarters have two buildings with dorms, each hosting 100 rooms for 2 people. They are furnished with a bunk bed, two desks, and a mini fridge, and the baths are communal.

Due to Yasushi's lack of fondness for speech, the rest was acquired from...files, studies and from others who know him.
Yasushi... is an extremely quiet person who prefers not to speak in the presence of strangers. If need be, communication is held either via electronics or his special abilities. With his only facial feature visible being his right eye, Yasushi tends to be hard to read, and often times is aloof and apathetic, barely showing any emotions at all. But, eyes are windows to the soul, and it is possible to tell what he feels from his red-green eye. An enigma, few know who he really is.

Well, that's one of them, at the very least. Since we're lacking data on him, we can't say for sure what his hobbies are, but it seems to be anything technology related. It's a wonder he doesn't need spectacles yet. Perhaps it's due to the radiation? Needless, some known hobbies are hacking, coding and experimenting with his abilities.

Gathered from family, it appears Yasushi has efficient control with technology, and is an experienced hacker due to these skills. These skills allow Yasushi to control technology with his mind, a techonopath in essence, although minor, for his main ability lies elsewhere. He can also project screens onto air, similar to, as he calls it 'calling forth menus in Sword Art Online' or 'Add with his Dynamos', and use these screens to perform multiple functions. With this skill he can set up a base of operations at anywhere and at anytime.
His main ability, however, comes with his title of 'gamer' - the ability to digitalise his soul and transport it through data and network to appear in a game and live it as if it was real life. Through this skill comes the extension of mind control of data, for he is able to reconfigure any sort of data with a mere look at the file. Control of electronics are also subjected by looks, and even if he were to briefly lay eyes on, for example, a cellphone, due to his skills and experience, a multitude of data can be downloaded, transferred or erased.
It appears this was how he gained access to our files of him and erased them. There are still abilities of his unknown, for as said, his file was wiped from our database, and there is high doubt that his parents had told us everything. Further, there are reports regarding his hidden eye and mouth, suggesting that they wo are part of his abilities.

The male sat crosslegged on the floor, a multitude of data-butterflies surrounding him. Like a child, he was mesmerised by them, and giggled at their antics, although he had full control over what they could and could not do... if he wanted. With light laughter, the male leaned back onto the wall, a lopsided grin adorning his face as he turned to his wolf partner. Nani?
Upon his master's question, the wolf merely snorted as he lay down beside the boy, content with watching the butterflies as they circled his head. Yasushi chuckled at the sight, a hand tugging at his mouth's binds. Underneath the bandages lay sharp, inhuman teeth, almost predator like, but they were ones he could change between a normal human's and a ghoul's.
....? A questioning glance was thrown Ansho's way when the wolf sneezed, causing his body to suddenly glitch. Sheepishly the wolf returned a smile as he pointed to the butterflies, indicating they were the reason for his sneeze. Laughing at his companion's expense, Yasushi flicked his wrist to send the butterflies away, disintegrating them into the codes they once were.

Seff has been known to be a prankster, though his 'pranks', as he deems them, tend to cross the line. Possessing a somewhat sadistic and curious nature and associated with sociopaths, Seff can be considered 'dangerous', and all are warned to be watchful of him. Preferring to lie and act, a master of deceit and manipulation, Seff cannot be trusted easily, though whether or not his group mates face this same problem is unknown.

Those 'other things' including fighting and torture, it would appear. How he's not been caught yet is a surprising mystery.

To be specific, everything to do with shadows - he has near perfect shadow manipulation, which allows for things such as turning into a shadow himself, creating living shadows to obey his will or simply 'solidifying', for lack of a better word, shadows to use as weapons and such. Ze've, Oreb, any news?...Nothing?...Huh... oh alright, good try though, boys. With a wave of his hand, Seff sent the two animals away, their pitch black bodies retreating to the shadows from which they came.
Pesky little things. The shadow manipulator growled, as his eyes lay on the 3-dimensional blueprint in front of him. Those drug dealers weren't giving him a break, whenever he beat their a*s*s once, they'd just come back for more. Trying to get rid of them was like trying to wipe out mosquitoes - impossible, and Seff hated it. Having to constantly chase them from Unearthly's territory was becoming a pain, and a waste of time. And Seff hated to waste time.
Schatten, Senka. Eyes darted over to his two humanoid shadows, who returned his gaze with their own piercing red ones. With a raised eyebrow and a nod, the wordless command was given, and Schatten, the taller of the two shadows, laughed menacingly as he ran his claws on the ground, before both he and Senka disappeared into the inky blackness. They were going to have fun tonight!

Nicknamed "Jijaku" for his calm demeanour in nearly every situation, Lucius can be hardly shaken by anything. Even in harsh times he strives to remain composed and level-headed, and thus poses as the leader in his trio of friends, due to his position as the smartest alongside Alfred and his quick-thinking and wits. Lucius tends to act differently in different situations and places.
For those who barely know Lucius, they see him as a reserved and apathetic person, someone who's calculating and has a cold heart, distinguishing not between ally and foe, friend and enemy. Yet, his friends know him as a gentle and serene person, someone who's fair, selfless and wise. They also come to realise that him not distinguishing between friend and foe helps him to make unbiased decisions, and his apathetic nature also allows him to make decisions that others would otherwise avoid making.
Lucius treats strangers with a cold shoulder, judging and analysing them, making sure they can be trusted before allowing them to bypass his emotional defences. However, as a friend, he is deeply loyal, and places friends and family above himself. As such, an easy way to anger him is to threaten his friends and family. Though take care, for he there's a reason why he's called "Jijakuryuu" - like a dragon he bears immense potential, with power and abilities to match. Hence, gaining his ire would be a rather unwise idea.
In truth, Lucius is not a social person; he'd prefer to read a book, spend time with nature or play a game rather than interact with others.Yet, those close to him know that under his calm faade is a vortex of emotion, all held in by a wall he's placed around himself. Those that bypass that wall are usually those he allows to, and they are his friends. It's to his friends that he expresses his internal turmoil, what troubles him and what saddens him. As such, his friends can usually tell what he's feeling.
Hobbies:
There's not much Lucius likes, though a good book and music is one of them. Alongside that, he does enjoy spending time in gardens and parks, for he likes flora. Fauna is another love of his, but he can't spend much time visiting zoos and similar parks, so he spends time with his animal companions instead.
Weapon:
Lucius' twin double headed spears were a gift from his father's friend - an inventor who, out of sheer boredom, created a weapon that utilised electricity in a way similar to current day 'lightsabers'. With a press of a button, the spears, from the size of daggers, would extend out to their full length, their tips sparkling with cyan electricity. While implemented with enough technology, and crafted carefully such that even without this electrifying attachment, the spears would still pose a threat, the superheated, condensed electricity proves to further make the blades a deadly match.
Fortunately for the Composed Dragon, his armour and outfits were made to conduct electricity away if he were to ever accidentally allow the tips of his spears to touch himself, channeling it to other weapons he carries, specifically to power his guns which can fire electrifying bullets. However, Lucius is a close ranged fighter, despite his ranged weapons, and tends to do better when up close and personal with the enemy. It's a good thing technology has advanced to the point one can artificially enhanced their speed, then.
Oh, and a note - spears aren't the only form his weapon has. The inventor who created them acknowledged that the original form may not have been the best used in every situation, and implemented a feature which allowed the weapon to take on more than one form. Twin swords and daggers are the other two forms the weapon has, the daggers being the original form. Lucius, however, took a liking to the spear form, and has been using it as the main form for the weapon.
Pets:
Meet Shiroi and Kuro, two white and black wolves that grew up with Lucius ever since he found them as a child in the forests surrounding his hometown.
Other:
Lucius comes from a town where old weapons were 'reborn anew' - for example, bows were implemented with technology to switch forms from boomerangs to bows, and a special sight and ammunition which allows rangers to effectively lock on to targets and fire electricity-elemental homing arrows. The same goes for swords and other similar old age weapons, each now using electricity as a main force for damage, and technological implants to aid in versatility.
As a young kid had been taught some survival and first aid skills, along with hand to hand combat before training under an uncle to learn to use his spears. As he was lacking knowledge with ranged weapons, he was later made to use a bow, and has some archery skills. However, ever since he learnt to use guns, he's switch to guns from bows during serious fights.
Most people call Lucius 'Jijaku' or 'Ryuu' instead of his name.
Lucius is pansexual, and is rather agile and dexterous, with good constitution and strength, and lives in Room 26, Dorm 1 of the SEF Headquarters, with a currently yet unknown roommate. |
