Ok, I am pretty sure this has been mentioned before, and I know this is likely to not get any points with Fai and Krin while they are in the middle of trying to get the big fests up and running... but I think it would be cool if there were little mini one day holidays for different things. Not like the fest with a zone or anything like that, but just a one day festival with maybe something added with a theme for that day...
For example, have one day a year for each of the pets, and on that day we celebrate the pet with in the forum, a thread to show off your favorite pet(s) of that type, maybe a coloring page or something simple like that, or one of Fai's Frankenpet games where we all gather and call out the traits and someone wins a sometimes cool, often funky pet using all those traits. It would be cool if there were also avatar items offered (ears or tail, maybe wings for some), and if there is time, maybe even an exclusive theme only available that day? Just ideas, and they could be implemented over time what goes on. The celebration could be largely the same each year, so that the avatar items were mostly the same as last year, but only available that one day.
For the cities we could have Founder's Days for each city- half off healing or items in each city for the day, maybe some kind of specific game with a theme for the day, coloring pages if that works, that kind of thing. For avatar items, maybe create a set of armor or something with the theme for the day.
This could be a cool way to generate extra interest between the big fests. They might be hard to implement at first, but if most of the content was largely recycled each year, over time they would be mostly automatic except for in the case of pets, adding new genes/mutations if you want to do that part. Just thought it might be a fun way to diversify the calender a bit and get some more interactive content to the game. |
