My old computer died, sadly, but now we have a new computer to play on! So happy :) Any one else have to deal with annoying computer troubles?

Yes. I got a new computer (Which is good and was very much needed - the old one is on it's last innings.). BUT - everything's all weird. The operating system is different, and I can't find anything, ever: Excel just apparently *vanished* out of thin air even though I know it's in there somewhere because I've been using it.
It's so worth it, though.

I remember when I was upgrading to a new laptop about 2 years ago, I wasn't sure what to pick aha.
It was between a gamer laptop (a Lenovo Y50 or something) and a multifunctional tablet-laptop (the Surface Pro 3). What I wanted was a laptop that could both game and be usable for doodleart-stuffs.
I picked the gamer laptop because I thought higher processing power would be more of a necessity in college. ;u;
I later caved because the Surface Pro 3 was really good with what I wanted: it had a pen for doodling, had palm rejection (so I could rest my hand/arm on the tablet while I write with the pen), and it had the Windows operating system, so it was more of a laptop than a tablet. I started taking it everywhere with me, and I still use it for notetaking.
(The Surface Pro 4 just came out, and while I don't regret buying my SP3, I'd love to promote getting the SP4 haha, or have another one for myself lol.)
My gamer laptop had trouble here and there, mainly that it wasn't the best that I thought it was for the price it was at. Some games that it should have no trouble running (spec-wise, the games should've been flawlessly running) were running slow, the definitions were kinda eh and not as amazing as I thought it'd be, so on and so forth.
Gamer laptop also crashed one day and I had to factory restore it.
And all in all, it takes forever to start up sometimes. ;n; And forever to shut down.
I wonder if all that stuff was meant to happen. Maybe I don't show it enough love as compared to my SP3 (which I literally take with me everywhere, because it's like a fraction of the gamer laptop's weight and size aha).
I don't regret any of my purchases, and I'm afraid to take my gamer laptop to get repaired of any sort, but I do wonder if it's supposed to be finicky. ;u;
edit: idk but I feel like adding that I use my SP3 for school-on-the-go stuff, and my gamer laptop for things that require more processing power (Photoshop, my coding program, and soon, Solidworks). My desk feels well prepped. ;u; I just hope my gamer laptop doesn't reject more of the programs that I'll be installing.
