What exactly is a purebred pet and why are they so sought after?

Purebred pets are pets whose parents are both of a certain theme. For example, if two Midsummer Night zolnixi were bred together, they would have a purebred baby.

Purebred pets are basically offspring of themed pets. Themed pets are pets with a certain colouration, that can only be obtained during a specific period of time (during festivals), after which you cannot obtain them from the wild anymore.
Purebred are sought after as they still have the same colour scheme as the original themed pets, are easier to obtain (so long as you find someone willing to breed/sell them), and they may have more genetic points if you breed them for a few generations.
