are the maturity rate for generated females higher than males?

No. All generated pets start off at the same age (adolescent), regardless of gender, and mature at the same rate.

There are things that affect maturity rate though. For adolescents, using magical pies increase their maturity by 144 hours (6 days). Things like site maintenance, or whenever the site is offline for whatever technical reason, causes all maturity to freeze, so as to prevent pets from growing up and accidentally being released.


Note that the pet's profile age and maturity is different. the profile age tracks the number of days since the pet has been created. The maturity is the accurate "age" of the pet, and determines at which life stage the pet is at. The maturity can be found be copying the pet's image url, and at the end of the code, there is a &maturity=___, where the number there is the pet's age in hours. (This only works if the pet has been genetically tested).
