idea is self explanatory, Dwarf Philter which lets your pets retain their hatchling looks while still being adults
the good
- can keep you hatchling baby form
the bad ((always there's more bad things))
option 1 - it can't have visible traits on any slot ((only carry them)) but can pass traits when breeding since it "looks" hatchling but its actually adult
OR
option 2 - be unable to breed and not even carry any traits ((this seems racists cause small people can still have babies))
i rather go with option one so devs don't have to make visible images for dwarf sylesti or make a super weird coding by making them unable to carry traits

Variations on this suggestion get suggested lots and always have heaps of support!
Example where the OP has linked a number of other threads with the same/similar suggestion.
I like the idea although probably more as a growth/maturity stunt rather than dwarfism. Possibly because I think the idea that they've never matured fully is a little more refined than because they're dwarves.
I think I prefer your option 2 (so the dwarf / stunted pets would be for collectors as opposed to continue breeding) but I do think their visible genes (not mutations) should show! For example, it would then mean that projects would have 4 final versions - adult male, adult female, hatchling male and hatchling female.
Hatchlings are so cuuuuute!
