Hey! Bit of a newbie here, only been around for a week, and I'm loving it so far! Which is why I've decided to buy some sweet diamonds, now that it's a sale. That's what my question is related to!
See, I started playing this game together with my partner, and we bought these diamonds together as well, and we're wondering if it would be worth it buying both the Genetic Test Kit and the Genetic Scanner each, or if we could potentially save a total of 2k diamonds by buying just one of each, and sharing them. Say, if he buys a Genetic Scanner, and I find myself in a fight with a pet that I really like, would it then be possible for him to send it to me mid-fight? Or would the general rule of "You cannot do __ during battle" also apply here?

The Exceptional Genetic Test Kit and Exceptional Genetic Scanner are "Not Tradeable" so you would be unable to send them between accounts. The send item icon in Inventory would remain greyed out even if one of these items was selected.

What many users do is offer free testing for other users' pets (it requires the pet to be sent to the person with the Exceptional Genetic Test Kit) - I suppose you could do the same with the Exceptional Genetic Test Kit.
