My name is Tina and I just stared the site today. I like it so far. Been able to figure out most of it. I just need to know if I can breed the pets I have and if so how? Any help and tips would be great.

You can breed your pets, so long as they are adults and do not share a same parent. Currently, both your pets are adolescents, so you can't breed either of them till they've grown up some more.
To breed two of your pets together, go to the breeding grounds (explore tab > breeding grounds). Choose the breed of sylesti you want to breed, then choose the male and female. You can test breed them to see what possible outcomes the pair will give. Click "breed pair" to breed the chosen pair. Note the egg will not be the same as the test breed result, since both are generated randomly.
To breed with other's pets, go to the pet profile. You can find pets up for breeding by going to the advance search, and choosing the species (and traits etc), and choosing "yes" for breeding. You can choose the breeding fee range, and arrange the pets according to the breeding price. Go to the pet's profile, and click "view price". Choose the stable and pet you want to breed it with, and click breed pets. The egg will be in your hatchery.
If you want to know more about breeding, and how genetics and stuff work, you can look at this guide: https://www.sylestia.com/forums/?thread=370

It usually takes around 18 days.
A pet has an "age" and a "maturity". The age on the pet's profile reflects the number of days since the pet has been created. The pet's maturity determines what life stage it is at. Right click the pet's image and copy the image url. at the end of the image url, there is a &maturity=__, where that number is the pet's age in hours.
A pet becomes a hatchling at 72 hours
adolescent at 216 hours
adult at 648 hours
The reason why age and maturity is not the same is because the maturity of the pet gets frozen whenever the site is down for maintenance, to prevent pets from growing up and accidentally being released. So With the recent downtime, all the pets in the game had their maturity frozen the entire period the game was under maintenance to prevent them from growing up. So your pet will take another extra day or so to grow up.
