Hi, I've been on sylestia for eight days and I'm currently at level 19, fighting against Thunder and Bolt.

I've been having trouble trying to battle them, every time, I seem to be defeated.

Since I can only have a party of two at a time, I send out my two strongest sylesti (a level 19 zolnixi and a level 17 luffox). I put all of the items I have with the highest health on my zolnixi (I guess I can refer to her as the "tank"). Yet, she always seems to take in massive damage. Is there a way I can possibly lessen the one-sided damage? That or you can recommend a better approach.

I've also been running low on gold (I've tried one strategy of stocking up on health potions and restoration elixirs, only to run through them throughout the course of the battle and end up defeated).

It would be very helpful if I could get some guidance.

I took a quick look at your party pets, you'll need to reassign equipment, and probably level up points. I think you should take a look at this guide on how to equip and assign points to party pets here: https://www.sylestia.com/forums/?thread=11101

In summary, always choose between intelligence OR strength. The two have no use together. So if you add points to strength, don't add any points to intelligence. Equipment should match the points you add. So if you add points to strength, find equipment that adds more points to strength instead of those that add more to intelligence, or split points equally. Likewise, choose a proficiency tree that adds to the same stat you choose to increase. So choose a strength proficiency tree if you're adding strength.

Also, here's a guide on the various ways to earn gold: https://www.sylestia.com/forums/?thread=2280
Missions is the easiest way to earn gold, though it's best if you have pets that specialise in the stat. You should take note which stat is required for the mission.

Thanks! :)
But the guide seems to only talk about the tank, physical and magical damage dealers, which means there has to be three pets in a party; and I can only have two. Is there a way to make up for that?

For now, you could try making the first pet tanky, and the second one a damage dealer. o:

The alternative would make them even in damage and HP, then make the two pets switch places during the battle to heal up and even out the damage. o:

Like Flute said, I'll recommend using your first pet as the tank, and the second as either physical or magical damage.

That way, when you get the 3rd party slot, you won't need to reset/reassign points for your pets, and the 3rd pet will take the remaining position (either physical/magical, whichever your 2nd pet isn't).
